I couldn't agree better myself. A dolphins loss at this point helps us more, it would be the death knell for them and Jax is not good enough to finish 10-6...the Jets need to finish 10-6 regardless of what Jax does vs Miami
I think we should still be rooting for the Jags. If the Jags win, they knock out the Phins and end the little ride they are on. Which will make the Phins game on Christmas easier. The Jags still has to play NE, Indy, and KC. I think they will lose all those 3 games.
While this is certainly the best argument for a Jax win, there is only ONE playoff slot left, as I am positive the Bengals will get a wildcard. If it comes down to us and the Jags, they go. We need to win out basically, so a Miami win would mean nothing.
that would be totally incorrect since if the season ended today we'd be out. we need help...and lots of it, when you look at it....say goodbye to the bengals boys...theyre in...they may go very far..there were a lot of people on this board saying the bengals were a .500 team.retarded.Denver, KC and jax are all ahead of us....so Im not sure how you think simply by winning, we're in
I think we want to root for the Phins over the Jags and set them up with some playoff hopes, then go down there on Christmas Day and give Mangini his Christmas desert by having the Dolphins "Pimp our Sundae."
If the season ended today we'd be out, however, there are still 5 more games to be played, and the statement was if we win out we will make the playoffs. And I think this is correct, because I'm pretty sure the teams ahead of us play each other at least a few times, so they can't all get in. Aside from that, it's a virtual guarantee that those among the teams ahead of us somebody is going to lose a game. If both the Bengals and us win out, I'm not so sure that the Bengals would get in. Someone can do the math, but I think when I looked over schedules and looked at conference and division records, we were in a very good spot.
I still don't think the Bengals will make the wildcard. They got 3 tough games in an row to end the season. @Indy, Denver and Pitt at home. I think they lose at least one. Hopefully two or three.
Atta Boy! Screw the Fish! But to be honest, I feel they are a better matchup against the Jags. So I believe fate is on our side. Never root for the fish. Bad mojo. Crying is all I wanna see. Tears baby...............................:jets:
