During the presser, Rex said Moore, Woody and Mangold have the mean streak and Brick is...well....Brick is in a league of his own. What does that mean....Brick's not mean but is still good? I don't get it. He also paused before mentioning the other guys after Moore....which makes me think that Brandon is the meanest of the O-linemen. Did you guys know there was a fight at practice today?
Fight was between Turner and Westerman. Westerman held Turners face mask longer then he liked so he starting throwing punches. Ryan said "Who cares" when asked about the fight...
Is that a serious comment? As if there isn't going to be a right tackle spot opening up in a year or two?
What's not to get? Brick doesn't play mean. He is more a technique guy, but I don't think that means he sucks either. A streak of meaness is very helpful in the NFL though... that was one of Pouha's problems. He just doesn't have that meaness. I think they have brought that out in Pouha some, and along with getting his technique down, he has become a servicable NT. Remember Mangold in the Senior Bowl practices? He was a mean mofo from the start. He still is, and it makes him a better player. Brick just doesn't have that makeup. If you recall, the rap on Brick was indeed his run blocking, and meaness is a BIG help in run blocking. Brick will never be an elite run blocker, partially because of his makeup. That's OK, as long as he protects the blind side.
i guess the fact that hes an unknown commodity is what kind of worries me but im sure hel be fine. didnt exactly watch much umass football the past few years. in this league though you can go from having a dominant line to one of the worst in the game really quickly. kind of like the year we had to start adrian clarke or adrian jones or whatever the fuck his name was.
Hahah, of course. Didn't you see the ESPN footage (that Champ always refers to) of when D'Bust was drafted?
