    ok ok fine.

The Jets have no problems. The Front office does everything perfectly and Rex Ryan is the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Mark Sanchez has the most skill of any QB to EVER play the game but he is young and still learning, when he hits his ceiling, the rest of the NFL better watch out.

The NYJ defense is full of skill and doesn't give up any points or yards. They always play fair and never resort to dirty plays or trash talking. They are a model NFL franchise that everyone should learn from.

It must be those stupid refs taking Ws away from the poor Jets since nothing is wrong with the team or management at all. All those mean people in the country hating on them due to their unrecognized greatness. Go show those mean old talentless Indianapolis Colts how good the Jets are this weekend.

    Play like a JET

In the ideal world, that should be the case. But then there are teams that are not athletically gifted at the offensive line. What should they do? Watch their QB getting gang-raped by the mean opposing front seven for the whole game?

True, it is but ONE blocking technique, and it comes with its own dangers as well. (Cut blocking is not the end-all, be-all of blocking technique.)

Did you see how Flacco got nearly murdered against the Jets front a few years ago?

    http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d81a82fe5/Jets-D-sacks-Flacco-forces-fumble

This is what cut-block is all about; it's nothing more than a DETERRENT. Not quite a sound blocking. You call cut blocking when you think impeding the defender for a split second is more than enough to get the ball carrier in the open, or get the pass out very shortly.

In the clip above, the play design for Ravens was precisely that; they basically conceded that with their five men up front in conventional pass pro, they cannot provide Flacco enough time to get the passing attack going. So they cut the DLs at the get-go; just the problem is, Shaun Ellis saw the RT cutting him, so he pushed the RT down and jumped over him. He had nothing but green grass between him and Flacco. But all in all, that clip shows what perils and advantages cut blocking brings to the offense as well. (If you saw the clip, you'd easily see that Flacco was untouched for good 3 seconds after the snap. That's pretty decent time for any QB indeed. Flacco didn't see any opening, so he had to get rid of the ball - since the DL would come and get him real soon after the cut. Since he didn't get rid of the ball, Ellis slammed him to the turf, forcing fumble.)

Now, using cut blocks as a weapon to injure the other player is a whole different matter. (Denver during the late 90's did a lot of that crap.) The rules are established specifically for that reason. You cannot cut an engaged player, and even if the player is not engaged, you cannot cut from the farther side of the playing side. (Slauson did the latter.) If he wanted to get his hands on Cushing, he should have tried tackling the areas above the waist line.

I don't think Slauson is a dirty player - just he is not trained and coached well. (If Slauson didn't know he couldn't cut Cushing low from the left, that speaks volumes about how this coaching staff is doing their fucking job.)
