When I say franchise Qb, I actually mean potential franchise QB. Yes Leinart is a risk and yes it is the toughest position to succeed at. But it is also the most important position on the field and if you want to win a SB you better damn well have a great one. We have a horrible QB situation right now and hopefully we won't be in position to get a QB like Leinart for a long long time.. Our FO is gonna have to take chances if they are gonna win a SB, no better way to start than with a potential franchise Qb.. Mangini has seen first hand what a franchise Qb can do for a team.
Most of these draft debates are kind of silly. It will all depend on what the other teams do. There is no way the Jets will have their choice between Mario, Leinart, and D'brick. Only 1 of them will be available at #4.
not nessasarily.. If Tenn does take Young than they will have there choice of Leinart & either DBrick or Mario..
I don't even have a QB in the top 5 on my draft board: 1 - Bush 2 - Mario 3 - Davis 4 - Hawk 5 - Brick 6 - Leinart 7 - Huff 8 - Bunkley 9 - Justice 10 - Cutler
We dont need another QB anywhere in this draft-we have 3 solid QBs and you people who think we should go for a second tier QB are retarded because we dont need another backup QB
