Since we're getting accused of "trash" talking, why not just go all out with it?

Sure, I'll bite. The Patriots lost a first round pick and were fined because they illegally videotaped the Jets coaches signals from the sidelines. Taping the signals is not allowed from the sidelines. You have to tape the signals from either the endzone or above the coaches box.

Since we did not go along with videotaping from the proper location, we lost our first round pick and were fined.

To this day, I'm sure the Patriots, along with other teams, are continuing taping signals, but from the allowed locations.

False, the Rangers are looking REAL good this season. I'm not saying they're winning the cup this year but they have the tools and this team is only getting better.

I had some frontrunning tool giving me grief about this last weekend, he's a friend of a friend who I have met a few times but has never said a thing about football until he started running his mouth the other day. Have you knobheads even looked at the actual numbers? The average age of the Patriots squad is 0.4 years younger than that of the Jets, and in the most important position of all our franchise player is 24 and on a steep upward curve of improvement. Your is 33 and only going to go in one direction, and Bradys don't grow on trees.

I don't care how many picks you've got, you ain't going anywhere but down over the next few years. Without Brady your team would and will be absolutely fuck all, you'd better enjoy this year because you've got a lot of suck coming and soon.

I really don't understand the whole media hooplah over the trash talking. What did Rex say at his introductory press conference as the head coach of this team? Let me remind you

“I never came here to kiss Bill Belichick’s rings. I came here to win, let’s put it that way. I’m certainly not intimidated by New England or anybody else.”

From day one this was his M.O. we know who he is. Should we or anyone else (Pats fans, media guys) be all the surprised with the trash talk that has been going on this week?

That's unfortunate, I was really looking forward to competing. Oh well, at least we tried! I will say that I have heard very similar predictions for the last 7 years or so, but that was relayed to me within the last two months as I didn't hop on the Patriots bandwagon until December of '10.

Funny, I didn't realize the pats came up with that line. For some reason I feel like I read it on my money once.

And also, when you say "coach-like manner", we are just talking about recent convention. I would love to see the way it worked back in the day when guys were under so much less scrutiny from the media. Although, I know Namath got his ass chewed out for the Guarantee. Turned out pretty well for us then!
