Yes, because Vick is, I suppose, a low turnover QB. He is just as bad. Fewer INTs, more fumbles, better on broken plays, equally inaccurate.

Simms will be the Jets' Brady!
Ten years of winning coming up!

Hahaha, who am I kidding. I hope if he does play, he survives the game.

Didn't he get sacked 7 times last time he played?

Oh yeah you're right, my bad. It's early and I'm still on my first cup of coffee.

If Vick came in and gave a spark in SD he would have started earlier.

Think about the games, where do you pull Geno? SD was perfect, and Vick didn't give a spark. Then Geno was passable in DEN and NE, next chance was BUF and Vick actually did something. That's how he got his start, he would have started earlier if he did anything vs SD

If you want to "suck for the Duck" then I have no problem playing Simms. But if any fan who still thinks he is an NFL starting QB is delusional. This Simms mystique is based on a decent performance in last seasons final preseason game against guys who are now pumping gas , and his last name. But he was terrible when he played during the regular season last year, has been terrible in camp (barely beating out Boyd) and he was terrible in college. He has 10 starts in his entire college career and played poorly in those games. I know college performance doesn't necessarily predict NFL performance, but there isn't an NFL starter ( or back up) that played as little and as unsuccessfully as Simms. He is not the savior. He is a roster spot.

the more you repeat this the more it makes me want simms to come in and explode.

I don't think anyone is particularly enamored by simms outside maybe his monster arm. it's more about seeing what we have or more likely don't have at this point.

I'm really interested to see how Mike will do. And won't be shocked if he plays well. At least this year we have a bonafide experienced backup. Last year they again miscalculated by signing Garrard who didn't even make it through training camp. He had to retire and then unretire. But didn't play even when Geno should have been replaced. If you want to kill Idzik there's an example of poor management. No experienced available backup QB when you have a rookie starter.

    Geno is inactive.

If Vick stinks it up or gets hurt, maybe we will see Simms today.

For my money, Vick gets injured in the 14th minute of the 1st quarter.

I like Simms more than I like McElroy.

Again, every QB we have is going to be judged with an inconsistent OL.
