Are you kidding? This has nothing to do with Idzik. He wants no one challenging his boy Geno. This SB march will be all Rex. _
I just don't see the point in Vick playing period. If a season is lost, you evaluate young talent, not play the old vets. I don't even care about winning tomorrow. In fact i hope Vick plays as bad as possible. I want to see Geno, or Simms in.
I can understand wanting to evaluate simms but haven't we seen geno suck enough to get the point yet? The guy was the worst qb in the league for a year and a half. enough already.
I understand your frustration, but he was our 2nd round pick. He has a nice ceiling regardless of what you want to complain about. Geno had no weapons last year, so you should throw that out. This year he just now has Amaro getting into his groove, Deck finally getting to full health, and Percy learning the system. Now that he finally has weapons to work with, we should just pull the plug and start Vick? No. There is not 1 single reason to.
kellen clemens was a second round pick too. thank god we didn't have to watch him suck for a year and a half. geno had all those guys on the field last week and was as bad as ever if not worse. why so many excuses for shitty players?
And i don't care about winning possibly 6 games instead of 3. Who cares at this point? You know what every great qb in the NFL has? Great weapons. Look at Rodgers, Manning, Brees, Brady, etc. They've All had great pieces around them to help optimize the offensive production. We gave Geno dog shit. It's Mark Sanchez all over again.
But kc was never thought of as the best qb in the draft, a high 1st round pick. I know Geno was about as bad as one can get, but it was one game...no. It was 1 quarter. So essentially we gave our qb project 1 chance with a half decent offense. Yep we aren't setting our qbs up to fail. Nahhh.
Of course i don't. What else do you recommend half way thru a season? We aren't getting Mariota walking in tonight, so we just have to work with what we've got.
Not me. This isn't the exhibition season. I expect them to try and win. I've got 8 more games to watch this season. I want to see Vick. If he plays well he can have the job next season, too.
I just don't see the harm in throwing him a few starts this season. The season is over unless we go 8-0 and a miracle at quarterback would be the only way that happens. I wasn't into Simms playing unless the season went like this but we know what we have with both Vick and Geno and no idea what we have in Simms so you might as well roll the dice. This franchise doesn't think logically like that though and we'll probably have Geno back under center soon enough.
I can understand that. Seeing our team pointlessly win is better than not seeing them play at all. It's not how i look at it, but there is nothing wrong with wanting your team to win.
It's not pointless to me. It's counts on the record including their all time record as a franchise. Also at Qb why not Mike Vick as our starting Qb next year. And we have him under contract too. We'll see how he does. He's a much more viable candidate than Geno or Simms.
I thought we had him on a 1 year deal? Vick has Always been turnover prone, and in his prime, could never come close to a superbowl. Why would we want the aging him? If Idzik won't resign Cro because we are rebuilding, he shouldn't, and wouldn't sign Vick at 35 to be the 2015 starter.
