Besides QB, where I guess the Jets would look for a third guy for the first couple weeks, the only position I see Tannenbaum looking at is OL unless someone out there is a very clear upgrade at some other spot.
I think Carson Palmer will show up in Cincinnati and they will have to trade him. I'd like him to be the backup to Mark Sanchez. Don't think he'd go for it, but with his health issues and other factors you never know.
wow, that's surprising. Before he injured his knee last preseason, Avery was their #1 WR. I wonder if he's still having lingering problems.
No need for an offensive lineman anymore. Caleb Schlauderaff fills Rob Turner's role until he's back. If Ducasse doesn't seriously improve over this season and next off-season, he'll be expendable if Schlauderaff does well.
Would take a look at Avery who was just cut by the Rams. Wasn't he there #1 or # 2 last year? Doesn't say much, but I remember him being productive.
Makes you wonder about his health though. He was there #1 and the only receiver they picked up that I can remember was Mike Sims-Walker. If He's healthy, I'd sign him in a heartbeat. That seems to be a big if though. Ajirotutu is good also. I wouldn't mind looking at Merriweather too. Unlike others, I'm not sold on our safety situation...especially Eric Smith. I'm kinda puzzled by the Lowery trade. Anyone know what pick we got back?
Again - there is no need to pick up a 5th WR. He will never see the field unless he is a ST player and Avery is not. If Avery cannot make the Rams, when their receiver corps is full of JAGS why would the Jets look at him?
