I say grab him if we can but I don't see him leaving that team. Derrick Ward on the other hand, we could use him. He's getting up there but I'd like to see him back in Green and White (another reason to hate Herm and Bradway). He's still got power and speed which we could use in a rotation/committee and keep TJ fresh.

Ah, the half-season FA dreams have already begun. I doubt Jacobs makes it to the offseason without a new contract, but keep dreaming. I'd love him in our backfield, though.

I could see them letting him go. He's gonna want big bucks and they could use that money towards a need. Bradshaw and Ward would be a good combo still for them. I would be all over jacobs

Pointless thread. He's going nowhere. If he was available you have to offer him something, but he will not be.

Jacobs is the man. plain and simple. if there is a chance to steal him from big blue you gotta do it. jones is getting old as far as running backs go (although still performing very well, especially recently). jacobs with our line would be phenomenal and would do even more to open up the field for neon leon. we wont see another 260 guy that runs a 4.5 40 for a long time. guys like him arent common in this world.

No Giants won't let him leave. We'll draft someone.

We should try and get Ward back. They stole him from us and he still may be the best back they have. Every time he gets a chance he excels.

Ward is also a free agent at the end of the season. He's actually older than Jacobs and the easier to replace (because it's damn hard to find a guy like Jacobs). I think Ward goes and Jacobs stays. Ward signed a 1 year "show me" deal last off-season anyway. He wants his money, and I think the Giants' FO lets him go get it.

I can't understand why people don't get this. The next time Brandon Jacobs doesn't put on a Giants jersey in September, it'll be because he has nothing left in the tank.

Would I sign him if the Giants didn't this offseason? In a heartbeat. Will the Giants leave him unsigned? Snowballs have better chances in the very depths of hell.

Jacobs will be a giant no matter what and if they don't sign him I would not want him. The reason is the Giants would never let him go if there was not a problem with him. Plus if our line is good leon and TJ are fine.

Even if the Giants don't sign him, which they will, the Jets can't afford the kind of contract he will want. They spent a few bucks this past off season.
