I disagree. I think that this years crop of QB talent is pretty good. I'm just saying that you can't pass up a good player while waiting for something better down the road. Especially not to draft a RB that we don't need.

Someone would say that if they felt Houston could do the job. I am not sure, but I liked what I saw at the end of the season

My feelings on that are we can make due one more year with the threesome we have. Rb is the easiest position to fill, I wouldn't mind seeing what we have in Houston and if need be we draft one next year along with our future #1 WR.

Houston? it would be great if he turns out to be a starter but I don't see it yet.

With all this hype that Cutler is getting. I'm worried he might get picked top three and we'll miss out. Then what?

I think Cutler is the real deal, but this article is kind of dumb. He has to throw because he still has something to prove. If he had won the Rose Bowl I don't know if he'd be throwing at the combine. A few weeks ago people on TGG were dogging Vince Young for not throwing, and then hyping up Leinart for some reason, when Leinart didn't throw either obviously. None of the really high picks throw. They let their previous body of work speak for themselves. Whatever, either Young or Cutler would be great for us. I know I posted in the other thread that I want Cutler to be our Big Ben, but VY would be awesome too. Only one of them is going to be there hopefully (and atleast one of them) and we'll get them.

I am fine with the following in now specific order:

Bush - I threw it out there, but we won't get him
    Young
    Cutler
    Williams
    White

When someone is drinking Cutler kool-aid for as long as you have been of course you would say that, but then again you think he is the next Brett Favre

Young's emergence and decision to leave earlier saved this years QB class from being a joke like last year, because the only QB that I have no problem with that won't take a long time to get adjusted is Leinart

So everyone who doesn't think Cutler will suck is drinking kool-aid? I know it may be a shock to you, but there is a chance that Cutler won't be the next Ryan Leaf.

Nah I don't think he will be the next Ryan Leaf if he is put in a good situation, however our team isn't a good situation for him, or for that matter any rookie QB

I have never said he is the next Favre. Nothing more useless than comparing a draft prospect to an NFL all time great..Regardless of what you think of these Qbs, the fact of the matter is that there are THREE legit franchise type Qbs in this draft, which doesn't happen very often.

Was Carson Palmer a goodf fit for Cinci when they drafted him? How bout Manning to the Gints? Usually when you are drafting a QB in the top 5 the team is not in a good situation, no different with us.

Like I said Young saved this class, or there would be just ONE potential franchise QB

So are you telling me Cutler does not have the skills it takes to be a franchise QB?? If so, why don't you tell me what skill set he is lacking in your eyes that would keep him from becoming a franchise QB..

He's not an early first rounder... I think he's being way over valued do to the lack of a true early first round QB that's a virtual lock to be a star, ala Carson Palmer type QB. And I know your going to say Leinhart is, but scouts question his arm stregth, which by the way I think is not going to be an issue... I think he's it in this QB class though.. after that its Michael Vick, maybe a bit better, in Vince Young and a I see Cutler turning into Jeff George.
