How about DE/OLB Quentin Groves from Auburn. This guy is a defensive force and would be perfect coming off the edge for the JETS.

I like Groves alot but Hobson and Thomas had pretty good years last year and I would consider lb to be our strength on defense.

I don't expect the Jets to draft high enough to be able to get Slaton. A real nice spot for him would be Detroit. He'd play his home games on an artificial surface and would benefit from that tremendous Lions WR corps.

I would like to see the 09 mock

  8. Based on what I've seen at TC recently...I strongly doubt we will look for another WR unless a big time # 1 w/ some serious bulk and height is available. The position is the strength of our team as we have alot of guys w/ different skillsets.

I also doubt we will select another ILB as Barton, vilma and Harris is a pretty solid depth chart. More likely I see us going OT(Gonna be quite a few quality RT prospects) OLB(I think we need another pass rusher to go along w/ BT) or D-line(The DE spots are aging and iffy)

I see OT as our biggest need on offense but if jacob bender is solid as a rookie we probably wont address o-line until the second which really wont be a bad thing cause next year is crazy deep at tackle there are about 5-6 1st round talents at tackle potentially.Hopefully bender can play guard cause i dont see a first round talent at guard.

If O-line is set then WR should be our next target on offense WR next year is a very deep class considering if some of the juniors come out
Desean Jackson, early doucet, limas sweed , adarius bowman and harry douglas are the top 5 recievers.Personally i would love to see jackson or bowman in a jets uni next year i think both of them are gonna be big. Lance leggett is intriguing and could be a nice pick up in the third.

On defense definitely D-line dewayne is solid at nose but id still like to see him at end cause it would suit him so much better.Currently there are 2 NT prospects in red braynt from texas a&m and b.j raji from boston college.None of which are 1st round talents right now more like 2nd, 3rd round prospects.

There are much more de prospects for 34 d then there are nose prospects
1st to second rounders right now would be glenn dorsey, chris long, frank okam andre fluellen, sedrick ellis.Dorsey and long probably wont be in our reach as there probably will be top 10 picks.

Our secondary need on defense would probably be either strong safety and olb. At first i thought that Hobson would be set at olb for years to come but from getting some more info, he might not be as good as i once thought. If this is true then quentin groves is the perfect replacement he is a beast and has been for a while at auburn.Derrick harvey and tommy blake

As for safety strong safetly in particular well the best db in the country overall is kenny phillips. And if penn state is linebacker u then miami is safety u Blades, reed, taylor, meriweather and next is phillips he is gonna have a monster year.

andre fluellen would be a good draft pick. although he'll prolly be a early 2nd rd guy.

depends on if he breaks out this yr. which he might. athletic, strong, and good size 6 ft 2, 288. (not ideal height) but the guy currently plays nosetackle and is 9th on FSU's all time list for tackles for loss. so he is obviously skilled at the point of attack.

You serious? This isn't your stupid All-Rookie Madden 08 Team. You don't have to keep getting rookies and starting them right away. Thomas Jones has at least 3 or 4 years left. He never really got the bulk of the carries anywhere. He's still pretty durable for his age, or at least he should be.

It's also Thomas Jones, he's not Spanish.
