Yup, he is sounding like himself. Mouthing off stupid predictions and grandiose claims that have no basis in reality and don't come to fruition. That's our Rex!
Half the fans want him to "Shut up and coach" but when he gives a boring presser the other half cry about not saying anything.
Cowher to Jets Next Year? Newsday thinks it could happen if Rex fails next year. "If the Jets falter next season, Cowher naturally would be a popular choice to replace Rex Ryan. In that scenario, quarterback Mark Sanchez presumably would be on his way out, too." Probably deserves its own thread, but I'm still a rookie here...
a couple years later we'd run Cowher out of town. The only HC not run out of town in the last 25 years was Bill parcells and that's only b/c he left us before that could happen. Heck he missed the playoffs 2 of 3 years and then oversaw the team another year we missed the playoffs so our fans would ahve wanted him fired soon too.
Exactly this...People here are effin jokes. If there are people who want to give up on next seson and dont think we will be better then there are 31 other teams you can watch.
except four years ago he backed it up by proceeding to lead us to two straight AFCCG appearances. not sure how you can even begin to attempt to mock him for that.
Oh rlly? If I recall, he was loud, angry, and borderline badass the first two years as the HC of the NYJ. To say those first two years, which were the years he really talked, didn't produce anything is obviously wrong. He took the team to two AFC Championship games, all while backing up his talk. Rex is the man, hate on him all you want to, but I'm telling ya it's a lot more fun on this side of the fence then yours.
You mean the 2 straight losses ? "Soon to be champs ":breakdance: "Here to win multiple championships " ,,, and now 4 years later we are having a " fresh start " a " new beginning " The last 2 years do not count ? After 4 years there is plenty to mock
He didn't want a viable alternative. He never wanted a solid backup that would make Sanchez pick it up.
