a million threads on this and now we need anew one when Leon has been nothing more than a good KO returner so far this season? really?
Yes, yes, you should, especially with a topic like Leon's salary, which is obviously a hot button issue. That's another reason why it would help if you all put the subject of your post in the title and were descriptive, so we knew what every thread was.
Yeah, it's a lot..more than a lot...the average of the 5 highest paid RBs in the NFL is 6.6 mil. These are the RBs that actually start and play the game. Did you ever stop and think why nobody pays RBs a lot, even the good ones?
I think $5mil is sufficient for him. Maybe $4 with some hard earned incentives that can push it beyond $6. If he can earn those incentives, such yards rushing etc, then it becomes fair.
I hope Leon stays with the Jets. If not, check out Noel Devine from W. Virginia. 5-8 175 lb RB-KR with 4.35 40 time, catches the ball. They play Colorado tonight at 7:30 on ESPN. Check out Noel.
end of the season..leon will be signed and paiddddddd....thomas jones will be gone and shonn greene is gonna have to show us what hes got....i wouldnt be surprised if we draft another RB next year either...but we will get leon signed
No threads on how we should pay our backup runningback whatever it takes to resign him, even if it ends up being $6 million a year... I love Leon, but people rip Jones for averaging 3.8 yards-per-carry, Leon only is at 4.0.
