No way. Megatron is twice the WR Edwards is.

Johnson could have easily packed in in during the 0-16 season but never did. He was an outstanding player when everyone in the stadium knew the ball was always coming to him. On the other hand Edwards couldn't handle the pressure of being the #1 guy. He imploded and dropped passes left and right. By the end of the season he was complaining that Ohio fans didn't like an ex-Michigan guy. How stupid and childish is that.

Bottom line - Johnson showed great mental toughness this season while Edwards wilted under the pressure. Not to mention CJ clearly has better physical skills as well. It's no contest

He is locked up until 2011 (I think) but he's been trying to get out. I'd prefer Boldin over either of those two as well.

As always, 1st rounder for a WR is one of the very worst thing you can do to your team. Look at Detroit.

In short: don't even think about it.

Wow! I love the venom. It was just off the top of my head. If those names came to you right off the top of your head, then cool, but I just wasn't thinking that thoroughly. But the point is still the same. Good talented WRs are hard to come by in this league. Not every team has a go-to WR. They are that hard to find. So when you come across one who is still very young and has shown that he can be a serious threat in the league then you go for it.
Baring injury, you can punch him in for 1000 yards and between 5-10 TD's.
I believe he could do better, but we haven't had that here since Coles of 2006, and we know Coles is not going to reach a 1000 again. Coles also was never considered a game changer but a very good receiver. Game Changers are costly in this league. And if you think you can get one by giving up 2nd and 3rd picks, then try it.

I wouldn't balk at the idea of getting either Edwards or Boldin....I'd lean towards Edwards slightly more just because he's younger and has less "wear & tear". His dropped balls don't concern me, because that's coachable. I mean, the year before last..he had like 16 or 17 receiving TD's. Plus, Edwards is tall and fast.

Not discounting Boldin either....he brings a certain toughness to the table, has reliable hands and doesn't fear going over the middle...i'll take a Wideout like that any day of the week.

But if i had to choose...i'd go with B.Edwards.

He's too much of a prima donna for my taste.

I'm not a fan of Edwards. Especially not for a 1st rounder, jeez that's preposterous. But I think my dislike of Edwards has less to do with his constant dropsies and more those stupid 5 hour energy commercials in which he makes himself look like one of the biggest deusche-bags ever to live.

It depends what we want to do with that pick. If the Jets want to draft a WR in the first and Crabtree and maybe even Maclin are off the board then yeah I would trade the first for Braylon Edwards. But if they want to go defense then I would say no.

The Browns already wasted a first on him. Why in the world would we make the same mistake?

We are taking a MLB or a corner with our 1st pick 1 cause there are no safteys in the 17 pick range (MLB, Corner & Saftey our 3 biggest needs on D) 2 A WR would be a waste of a pick if Favre does not come back cause who is going to throw him the ball. If Favre does not come back we better draft all D cause if we dont have a gret D we are going to get our ass handed to us every week

We can not part with our 1st round pick until the QB question has been answered.
