Why on earth would the Jets keep this bloviating narcissistic windbag? It's like if you could dredge the Ryan family's personality pool of all of its worst qualities, the net would contain a big slimy wad of Gregg Williams. No thank you.
You do remember how easy the schedule was last season and that was with us losing to two zero win teams ourselves, we should never have been 1-7 and for that reason, more than this Gase should have been sacked. But more fool you for wanting to see the team win a meaningless game at this stage of the season, it is the height of stupidity to willfully want to fuck yourself over for the future good of the team.
I hear ya. But think back to a few weeks ago with Buffalo vs Cards. Exact same situation. Cards needed 50 yard hail mary as time expired. Buffalo rushed 3. Kyler Murray had plenty of time to run around and wait for Hopkins to run 50 yards, then launched a 50 yarder into triple endzone coverage. Results? Hopkins pulls down the hail mary. Cards win. Now, if Buffalo had blitzed Murry (successfully) and got to him in under 3-3.5 seconds, game over. I THINK that's what Gregg had in mind. Get to Carr, game over.
I feel drained. I'm angry. I feel like I wasted three hours of my life. I watched Darnold bounce back from a tough first half, most of the game to will this team to what should've been a victory. He was magical down the stretch today Jets should've won the game. He was robbed of that W by his coaches. It doesn't look like this team will let him become who who all hoped he'd be on draft day 2018 but don't be so quick to give up on him. He's still only 23 and he could still become the best QB out of the golden QB class of 2018 and yes better than Lawrence though it doesn't look like that will be allowed to happen here. It's criminal what Gregg Williams did today. In a world with legalized gambling how is what Williams did today, what the Jets have been doing not up for investigation by authorities?
His blitzes were not getting to Carr , Wallin had just burnt him. I Carr is not Murray, no reason to blitz there especially when his earlier blitzes were not getting there in time,I was just surprised it was not Wallin again. I think he just wanted to make sure Gase goes down as the worst coach in NFL history
There's a simple solution...stop watching the games and posting here. Voila! You have more time and energy, and less frustration. There's nothing illegal about what happened today, just incompetence and stupidity that we've all seen countless times over decades watching the Jets. Deal with it, or move on to another team. If incompetence and stupidity were illegal, you'd be in jail.
Ummm darnold turning the ball over is why the game was even as close as it was. Put blame where it belongs. But i dont understand is why you're invested im this season. For what? Some moral victory of being 1-15? Hows that really do anything for this franchise? Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
Actually they were getting to Carr. The pressure caused several bad throws in the 4th Qtr when they were in the red zone, and they may have had a sack or two in the 4th Qtr., but it may have been earlier. Carr wasn't even close on those rushed throws. I can understand why he did it. I agree that it was a bad decision, but I've also seen a lot of teams lose playing "prevent" defense at the end of games because it's too passive and gives the QB too much time, and most NFL QBs are capable of beating you if you give them too much time.
Today I watched Darnold put the team on his back and (should've) willed them to victory but he was betrayed by his coaches. As it was happening I felt I was watching a seminal moment in his development. He was trusting his instincts instead of thinking so much. He was magical the way he extended plays and made things happen. Had the Jets won I believe they would've built on it. Did the switch go on for Darnold today? Will the Jets allow it? Or what will they come up with next to ensure they finish #1?
GW deserves a medal for keeping the tank Alive!!!! Love you Greg!!! Some want a meaningless win over 15 possible good years? smh
I’m actually still down with Greg. That said, I’d love for Gase to return the favor from a few weeks ago and say, “today’s loss isn’t all on the offense.” I think he’d actually win a few points with the fans if he did that!
According to NFL’s Next Gen Stats, the Jets were the first team to send eight pass rushers on a play in the final 30 seconds of a game this season. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...game-winning-td-has-to-be-a-better-play-call/ It just simply isn't done but the Jets were not trying to win
I don't think that there's anything that Gase could do at this point to win points with the fans. Other than resigning, of course.
No, no he wouldn't, we couldn't give a fuck for what the lying tosser has to say unless it is 'I quit' Edit beaten to the punch lol
Quinnen & Hewitt were beating the Raiders o-line all day. Sending 8 against 7 on a 50 yard hail mary that needed AT LEAST 3-4 full seconds to develop was probably a better option than giving Carr all day to loft a clean pass and counting on your 3 rookies in the backfield to defend it. If it works, and it should have, Greggs a genius. But not today!
