Certainly agree about the players adjusting to the scheme. Beyond adjusting to the 4-3, the personnel was simply bad.
The Jets just signed Laken Tomlinson an excellent OG from the 49er's. Opens up more choices for #4 & #10.
The highest paid positions in the league are: QB, LT, EDGE, WR, and CB. JD loves a good deal. We already have a QB and LT. I think 2 of the 3 will be our 1st 2 picks.
I think I'd be OK with it. What I'm really hoping for now is a trade back from four to pick up additional draft capital, and then a trade back into the first to address WR/EDGE/CB, whichever hadn't already been addressed
I'm open to it. Obviously depends what happens in the coming days of free agency though. Edge looks like one position that's a sure bet to be a top 40 pick unless they love JFM and Lawson outside, but I get the sense JFM will play more inside. I also think they'll target Sauce Gardner in the 1st if they don't sign a CB. LB still a bit of a wild card though if Nakobe Dean slipped out of the first, he'd be a steal in the 2nd. With Berrios back in the fold as a slot option, I'm open to addressing WR in the 2nd instead of at 10. Jalen Tolbert and Christian Watson should be there and, who knows, maybe a 1st round prospect slips (they also need to acquire better depth at WR).
The way free agency has unfolded, the Jets should have Thibodeaux as almost a no brainer pick at 4 assuming he is there. At #10 it is setup for a wide receiver unless Gardner falls and is there. Personally, I do not want Stingley.
That’s exactly how it’s playing out. KT at 4 if he’s there. #10 could still be a trade down but if no moves leaning towards WR with CB and OL right behind.
