?

Would You be OK with the Jets trading an early pick for a proven player as part of a 3-way trade?

You don't know that he's not getting traded. He's due for a new contract next year, and if they're beginning to undergo a rebuild similar to ours, would they really want to have to pay him somewhere around $17-$20 million per season when they are rebuilding the team? In addition, I spoke with a knowledgeable Seahawks fan today who is a close friend. He said that there has been tension between Pete and Russell for years because Pete wants to run the ball and play D, and Russell wanted to throw the ball more. If my friend is correct, then why would a team who doesn't plan to throw very often, and doesn't even have a quality starting QB want to pay a WR that much? They also just gave Lockett a pretty sizeable contract, and will have to pay Fant in a year or two. If I'm John Schneider, I'm not gonna give Metcalf a huge contract for him to be a decoy most of the time.

I wouldn't give them any more than the #10 pick in the upcoming draft, if that, but that could entice them. Don't forget that we took a bunch of their draft capital in the Jamal Adams trade. They might be happy to get some of that back. I think the #10 pick was theirs anyway. Maybe we could sweeten the deal by throwing in Mims. LOL

DK would be a great addition, for sure. JD did just pay Davis, but DK is an upgrade in every way. If the Jets were giving #10, would hope that they conditioned it on extending DK. Lockett would also be nice, except that the Jets have Moore, whose skills really overlap.

Not like I don’t want DK, I love him as a player. But It’s a just pipe dream that Seattle will trade DK to the Jets. And we are not trading the #10 pick for him. But makes good sports talk. Of course, like the Adams trade, if is Seattle is dumb and dumber, and we could get him for a third. Maybe JD pulls the trigger. Keep wishing.
