If he was capable of doing it, they wouldn't have needed to put McElroy in.

no, he has shown over and over again this season that he is not capable of it.

More like his entire career but Sanchez supporters don't know... They jumped on the wagon when we made the playoff run a few years back and saw a "Sanchez" as our QB.

Mark needed to be replaced. Good job by Rex. Moving forward Mac should get the start b/c he deserves it. Maybe he can become a good QB in the NFL. Firing the HC or the GM is not the answer unless you can tell me who the replacement is and how that replacement is going to translate into wins on the field. From my perspective this team is not that far off to blow it up. Continuity is a HUGE common denominator between good teams and bad teams.

The whole thing is just sad. Mark brought some really exciting moments for us and had us at the door of the super bowl twice, more than I can say for any jet qb ever besides Namath. On top of that, you know he works hard but just for whatever reason it's not working. If he leaves, I'll be sure to wish him luck wherever he goes

The Jets need to bring in better head coach and GM. I would then trust them to make the proper evaluations of the players on the roster (Sanchez included) and build a competent offensive SYSTEM. The problems with this team isn't as simple as should we have Sanchez or McElroy at QB.

You can chit chat and down grade Mark all you like but it wont change the fact that Mark will start next weekend and Mark will start for the rest of the year, Mark will be starter next next year too . McElroy is 3rd string for a reason

McElroy looked poised. When he ran instead of trying to force something there, he kept it very simple...he's made out to sound like he can't throw the ball 5 yards, same concerns with Dalton, but he had nice zip on intermediate throws.

Not that far off what, making the playoffs? Continuity isn't a good thing when you are one of the worst offenses in the NFL.

I'm actually going to admit to a major partyfoul and ask you guys for a favor.

I lost interest in the game really early, and I got finals in like less than a week. I completely missed this shit.

Is there a vid of the last Sanchez drive and McElroy's drive in it's entirety anywhere. Not just highlights. Like the real shit.

Or even just the whole game?

    I'm pissed at myself.

    Thanks in advance.

That contract extension might be the worst thing happened to Sanchez. He gets 8 mil guaranteed money no matter how bad he plays this season and next one. It kills the fire under his guts. It's like trying to pick up a girl in a bar, but you know she is a prostitute and your wing man already paid her. Would you still have the same interest level to show all your moves?
I still believe Sanchez has all the required talent to excel in this league. However he has to get his fire back somehow.

Worse decision was to hire a HC who has no fucking clue about offensive side of the football, who actually thinks that in the PASSING league you can run the football and win games constantly. even if you are behind. Then you bring in another asshole in Sparano who has no history of developing a QB, you also keep the same QB coach who is even dumber than Sparano.

Hire Chad P as qb coach, heck hire him as OC, I'm sure he do a better job than all these assholes combined. The offense sucked ass since preseason, and it will continue to do so no matter who is in at QB.

absolutely not, at some point he was goingto have to sit whether for some series or a game or whatever if he kept playing the way he was but all is not lost. Our O didn't become magical when McElroy came in, we ran it really well and got a ton of penalties. Our O stinks, our receivers are awful. No QB has a chance to succeed in this offense.

You complain that Sparano has no history of developing a QB, but your solution is to hire a guy who has never coached on any level?

Sparano ran only the run offense in Dallas, am I correct, they wanted to hire Todd Haley to do the same Tag Team deal and he said fuck em.

Funny because I actually agree with you on this. Sanchez has been horrible but McElroy or Tebow would be no better off with the lack of talent surrounding them. I think Sanchez starts in Jacksonville but will be on a much shorter leash.
