I say try to get him, maybe he'll sign for reasonable amount so he can clear his name and get back in good standing for being a team player. And you really don't know why the Raiders cut him. I say it again we may get him cheap cause most teams may not touch him. It would be like the NE trade for Moss. Imagine Revis and Hall as our starting secondary. I think he would be a different player on a winning team. But I also think Dallas will go after him very hard.
Okay, everyone on the board is against the Jets picking up DeAngelo Hall... 8th overall pick of the 2004 NFL Draft... Can anyone out there tell me which one of these guys on the roster, talent-wise, is so much better than DeAngelo Hall? Justin Miller (2nd on the depth chart at RCB) Drew Coleman (2nd on the depth chart at LCB) David Barrett (3rd on the depth chart at RCB and 2nd at FS) Ahmad Carroll (3rd on the depth chart at LCB) Or how about the safety position? Hank Poteat (3rd on the depth chart at SS) James Ihedigbo (3rd on the depth chart at FS) Obviously Hall doesn't deserve a spot on the starting lineup of the Jets. But since cornerbacks are so apt to get injured, I would hope that the Jets at least think about acquiring him, and aren't so wuick to dismiss the idea.
You were right alot of people were wrong about Randy, but there were a few people that knew he'd do good in NE, myself included. Randy was a fucking beast in Minn. He did it all haha, thats why i knew if he just had a good qb, that he would become a beast once again. No excuse for D-Hall. Defense is completely different than offense. Look at ty law on the 05 jets, he had 5 ints in one season for us and our team sucked! D-Hall is a big risk taker, and that would be his downfall. He would always try and improve his stats by going for the ints instead of just making big plays, and most of the times he would get beat from his riskiness. D-Hall is one of the most overrated players ever.
I would stay away from him. He left Atlanta after stirring it up, he lasted 8 games in Oakland, why would you want that problem?:beer:
It would make the Jets the team to beat in the AFC East. Hall not only plays the pass well, but also supports the run very well & is a fierce tackler. Jets' no longer would have to draft a CB within there top 3 picks next year. If, by some stroke of voodoo...Jets' sign him, Jets' management will have finally shown some balls. He'll probally be signed by Dallas, Pats or the Ravens. Jets' very seldom are the team to grab that semi-disruptive player. Hall upgrades the whole secondary though.

A 2-5 record can stimulate a poor attitude. Some guys like winning more than others. He has been on bad teams, since being a pro. Once Vick left Atlanta, he turned sour in. Also the Falcon coach quit also during the season. In the game against the Jets, he shutdown the Jets WR's & tackled very fiercely. Check the tape.
Lol. Exactly. If they actually get rid of him, I wouldn't mind either Raider castoff (Kiffin or Hall) to join the Jets. Hall would be a significant upgrade for us, and if we get him to play like he can then we now have a 25 year old high level CB. Paired with Revis and Rhodes... It wouldn't surprise me if he had Randy Moss syndrome. It's not surprising he got sick of the Falcons for no reason. They were losing and completely bailed on Vick, a very popular player in the locker room. Then he gets traded to football's current hell hole franchise. This is a guy who went to two Pro Bowls before he was 25, and he plays a position of need. As long as he can pass the interviews Mangini would give him too, then I'm down.

Lowery has to face some adversity if hes ever going to be real good .... that pass interference call was BS...I love the way he is playing...we have 2 stay away from Hall... its not going to matter who is back there if Jenkins is healthy lol

I must start writing in less confusing way, I guess. 1. Do I want Javon Walker in Green and White? HELL FUCKING NO. 2. With that in mind, Javon Walker still makes a lot more sense than DeAngelo Hall for the Jets. That does NOT mean Jets should go after Javon Walker - they shouldn't. Just it means Hall just sucks so bad - that you shouldn't even give him a look. 3. Neither should be even given a look. Period.
if we can get hall failry cheap we take him, why pass up on young talent? 2 pro bowls and with our corners besides revis (lowery is a rookie who hasnt proven himself yet but has done ok) we have noone.
Lowery has been getting picked on so many times this season in San Diego, Arizona, and was benched last week. Not alot of rookies go ahead and start for their teams right away let alone guys who were chosen in the 4th round, Lowery is eventually gonna become a really good corner but this season can be special we dont have time to wait until he gets better. We need to act now and do whatever we can to win this season, cause next season Favre is gone and the qb position wont be a position of strength unless someone emerges.
i would rather let lowery play and develop. he might be an upgrade but at what cost? he will be making a lot more than lowery thats for sure. i have no idea of the cap situation moving forward, but with all the free agents signed this off season we have to be right up against it already. no sense in wasting some of the space we have left on a guy who wont be much of a help.
i'm really tired of watching Lowery get abused. Hall wouldn't get burned every Sunday with Revis on the other side of the field.
Hall sucks and he is to cocky. He thought he was gods gift to DB's until he got to oakland where he was exposed for what he is. After a huge pay day mind you!
