Unfortunately Rex and the Bills don't have a first this year to offer us. I wouldn't take next years first.

Exercise his option and stop putting him out in coverage. I hope this is the difference between Rex and Bowles.

Bowles using players to their strengths. Rex, as good as his defense was put players in bad situations A LOT.

"Prove it" deal. We don't have a lot to show for his tenure outside some animated clothes-line GIFs

You wouldn't take next years first round pick from the Bills for Quinton Coples????

All true, which makes Coples our security blanked in dealing with MoWilk.

It also makes Coples excellent trade bait with Tennessee who had planed on taking someone like Coples before their QB retired in mid career. Tennessee might swap picks with us for Coples. They get their stud d-lineman AND they can use #6 for whoever else they want. We get the #2 pick, which we can swap with Tampa for our next year's #1. Hello Winston!

To guys so eager to trade Coples away:

Have you heard of this concept called ROTATION?

I was told it does a LOT of good to the defensive linemen.

Coples needs to show me more... Under Bowles he should get a chance to play to his strengths.. Especially in nickel packages..

If he can produce he gets paid. Simple!

Lets not forget this was the tag on him coming out of college. Shows flashes of brilliance and then disappears and has a questionable motor. He strikes me as the kind of player that will have a career year in a contract year, get his and then vanishes until he needs to get paid again. Maybe I'm wrong but this guy has all the physical tools to be a dominating player but Dosent seem to live and love football

D-lineman play 4 minutes the entire game (snap to whistle), assuming they start and play every defensive snap. I know these guys get winded and need a break, but I just don't get it. 4 Minutes over 4 hours?

I think I agree with this 100%. With that said he's the kind of player you want to make earn it every year.

Maybe we pick up his option then the if he play well franchise him make him earn it again so he can never get comfortable

Probably you never heard of this thing called No huddle offense, I suppose?

I was told the defense gets gassed easily if the offense is proficient, like that of Patriots.

Lol snap to whistle. The rest of the time they are napping and eating bon-bons.

Let's hope they rotate him on the defensive LINE. Now that Rex the Idiot has moved on, I hope this ridiculous experiment of 290 OLB (Coples) is discontinued.
