And btw guns shows isn't a minor little problem that "should be" fixed. It's a major gap intentionally created and defended by the NRA.

    http://www.bjs.gov/content/pub/pdf/fv9311.pdf

In 2004, among state prison inmates who possessed a gun at the time of offense, fewer than 2% bought their firearm at a flea market or gun show, about 10% purchased it from a retail store or pawnshop, 37% obtained it from family or friends, and another 40% obtained it from an illegal source

    But still, fix it.

So what's your point. Btw there's many other loopholes in buying guns. And that's why in this country there's millions of them floating around.

My point was that you were wrong, as usual.

The only point you've proven is that you're a stubborn ox. But then again, I am, too.

Btw there are 310 million guns estimated to be in the United States. So we can all shoot each other.

From NatSato : "Yea I know - requiring an ID to vote is racist"

Actually it is. And here is one of many articles about it http://www.theatlantic.com/politics...isenfranchise-minorities-and-the-poor/254572/. I have no problem with voter ID if it's fair and accessible to the public. Even though the stats show there is almost no voter fraud. It's a made up issue by Conservatives. So why do you have to have a driver's license to vote. And a lot of people with little money esp. minorities who the Republicans have targeted do not have state IDs or driver's licences. And if you do require ID should't it be free. Unless you want people to have to pay to vote. This is what segregationists did in the South for years against minorities. They are using other tactics too, like shortening voting hours to make it harder esp. for these people to vote. When we're supposed to be encouraging people (all people) to vote. So basically for you to win elections you have to stop minorities (who will vote for the Democrats) from voting. And I thought the Tea Party claimed to be patriots.

I'm just replying to his post which was his answer to my saying in some places it is easier to get a gun than to vote. But it is off topic. Knowing your mindset I'm sure you'd have no problem with it if it coincides with your ideas. PS sorry I have 2 blank replies. I made mistakes and had my reply in the same box as his statement. I didn't want it to seem that there was no separation. And looks like you can't delete a post.

I guess the DNC is racist when they require a photo ID to attend their convention or one of their candidates for president meetings.

I'm talking about voting. Not going to a convention. Its not even close. I have no problem with voter ID. But not when they make it hard to get (on purpose) and it costs money. Why don't you read the literature about it. Also you can find out about re districting. I guess that's not true, either.

A photo ID costs between $10-$25 or for free if you're on welfare. You can get one at any DMV office.
You need one to open an account at a bank, to board a plane, to take an SAT, to buy alcohol or cigarettes, applying for food stamps, welfare or Medicaid/Social Security, to apply for unemployment or a job, renting an apt or house, getting a mortgage, renting a car, getting married, buying a gun, renting a hotel/motel room, getting a fishing or hunting license, buying a cell phone, going to a casino, picking up a prescription, donating blood, buying certain cold medicines.

So, people that say they can't vote because they don't have an ID, NEVER do any of these things? Get real.

You're not supposed to pay so you can vote. Not everyone has the access or the money to get a license. There's hundreds of thousands in many states who don't. They're called poor people and they don't fly on planes or have passports. Or drive a car. If you require an ID. You make it easy to obtain not extremely difficult like they do in states like Wisconsin. It's dirty politics at it's worse.

Over a year ago I took my daughter to NYS DMV to get her a non Drivers State ID. We had to drive there (like 5 miles) and wait around 90 minutes and it cost about 20 bucks. Not easy for many people: seniors, some college students, the underemployed and poor people. So what they are doing is targeting people especially minorities. If they want voter ID. You make it easy to get it and free. You go to them. The idea is people voting and not eliminating people.
