There is a Shonn Greene highlight film floating around on youtube that has one play where Greene gets hit by 3 defenders on the second level and they can't take him down, he stands all three of them up.

Last week he did a mirror of that play against the Bengals in the exact same situation. This kid definitely comes as advertised. I love it.

The best part is that he has fresh legs because he didn't get any real carries for most of the season. Now that TJ is dinged up a bit, we have another starting-caliber back waiting in the wings, without the wear and tear of an entire season of carries to slow him down. I fucking LOVE IT.

Let's just say I haven't been as excited at QB ever.
RBs haven't been this good since Martin.

I think he slipped to the third round because he only ran a 4.6 40. Think about this - my guess is that Gholston ran nearly the same 40 time. Yet Ghost runs like he's wearing lead boots; Greene has breakaway speed.

I thought #54 was going to get him, then I expected him to trip after demolishing Weddle. It did take about 5 yards to realize, oh shit he's still running. Then he started separating and I went apeshit.

I didn't realize this at first but that celebration that Greene did (the pose in Jeterps avatar and JFaulkNYJs post) is the exact celebration that LT always does when he scores a touchdown. The Charger fans were all pissed after the game and calling Greene and the Jets "classless" on their message board. (Every time these guys choke in a big playoff game, the other team has "no class")

I would think they would be madder about the "head butt" or "flag kick" both of those plays cost them dearly. but I guess they have to blame the other guy.

Was at Buffalo Wild Wings for the game. I jumped up so fast, my chair went flying back and almost took a kid in a high chair out.

I know this sounds crazy, and I know Martin is one of the hardest-working and most effective players in Jets history, but I honestly can't remember Martin running like this. The way Shonn Greene plows through defenders, keeps his legs moving for extra yards after first contact, turns on the burners for extra speed in open space. I'm sorry, but I just don't remember seeing Curtis run that way. Maybe I'm having selective memory. It seems Curtis just got tons of carries leading to all his yards. His yards/carry average wasn't great, as a rule. Now, everyone can call me ridiculous, comparing the greatest Jets RB in history and likely hall of famer to a guy who's now had just a few great games.
