Because it's a lot easier to use your speed against shitty DBs in space than it is within a few yards of the LOS and Sanchez often looks better throwing those balls than he does the short stuff. Besides, Sanchez and the RBs managed to turn even the "safe" dump off passes into disasters tonight, the pick 6, the carom off Greene's helmet for the INT and several others that went flying off guys hands. Sanchez throws a terrible short ball and yet so many of the Jets passes are in this area.
