I doubt Greene suddenly figured out something you learn in pop warner, but he did look better making a few people miss. Vlad has been on the field all year - he played almost the same amount of snaps the last 4 weeks ...
Where did you get this info? It would save me having to go through 6 weeks of game film to confirm it, if it's a reasonable source.
PFF - I think other sources carry this stat now too ... maybe football outsiders? edit: yea http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/snapcounts
That is very interesting stuff. I may have to go back through the past 4 games (and possibly weeks 7 and 8) during the bye to check out how he did, if I can wrangle some time to do it. Seemed like they went from 0 carries in week one to a handful in week two to 15-20 in the next four weeks. Might be an indictment of Slauson, or even of Austin Howard, if rumors of Slauson moving to the end of the line hold any water.
At least somebody gave him his due. It definitely was a combo of the O line & Greeneie that got it done. Hopefully the combo will continue this week. If Sanchez can exploit the DB's for the Pats, you never know.
I think it's just that Slauson isn't anything special, Moore is on the downside of his career and Vlad is playing at a reasonable enough level to get snaps against starters. They're getting him experience for the inevitable moment that he has to start for whatever reason. He's a powerful guy - I'm excited to see him getting more snaps.
