One thing is going to the CS and telling them 'get me more involved in the passing game' But telling the Media that his Coaches were outcoached and they aren't using him right. Look @ Lamont, He said he wanted more carries and the Media turned that into a fiasco making him the Villan. (Of course this is to sell more papers). But Shockey didn't do it like that, he Lashed out at the CS.
that is gold, i remember that....by any chance was that in seattle??? i could be wrong, but it would be sweet... now, being jets fans, do we hate hte giants??? is there some kind of rivalry...i have got the feeling there isnt but...shcockey sure is being a little girl about things... never ever, say shit about the coach like that....it just promotes diunity in the team and brings it down from the inside...poor form big head!!!
Mike and the Mad Dog were discussing this on the air this afternoon... the Shockey thing. They both fell short of basically calling the guy an idiot. It surprised me somewhat, because they both always seem to favor the Giants over the Jets somewhat. But Mike pointed out "Didn't we spend a whole day this summer over him calling the coach an ass? Enough, already!" What really made me feel good is they both agreed the Giants are a "different" team than the Jets. Dog said the Jets are "good kids acting professionally as a unit" (paraphrasing), while they insinuated the Giants are a bunch of overrated, full-of-themselves, individual personalities with agendas. "Totally different teams to coach," Dog said, "the Giants are definitely tougher to coach." In other words, the Giants have a good deal of mental midgets like Shockey, disrupting the lockeroom. Somebody needs to take Shockey in the showers and smack him around. Those losers are going nowhere with their attitudes, especially when they turn on their own CS.
Francesa has had it in for Shockey ever since he was signed to do a weekly call-in on their radio show...and he never came on the show. Not that Shockey deserves any respect. He is garbage IMHO. Mike really went off on him last night on "Mike'd Up". Actually, after what I saw, I would bench both Shockey and Burress. And if I don't see improvement fast, out the door. They both talk big, but they always come up small when it counts.
