The owners blow off the mediation sessions before the union decertified. If they wanted to negotiate, then the owners would have attended in person instead of just sending Goodell. They held firm and waited for their Lockout Date. Neither side will go to the table until they are feel they have the upper hand, which means for a deal to get done both sides need to feel this way. The only time that will happen is 2 weeks before Week 1 regardless how all this other stuff works out.
I love that the argument against opening the books is that "we don't want our mates to see how hard we're screwing them". :lol:
