If you don't smoke before you play or practice it's no different than guys who go drinking during the week, probably less harmful to your endurance because alcohol dehydrates your body. Weed can help you relax and stretch, as long as you use it after you've had your workout it's not that harmful at all. He was charged with posession, he wasn't driving to work high, so it's hard to say when he uses it or how much or how often.

It happenned to me once without even knowing. All my insurance was packaged together through AllState (car, homeowners, flood, etc) I would pay my car for the year at once so I wouldn't have to worry about it......until the next billing period comes due Well, when you don't get a statement every month you don't think about it. One day I thought "I think my insurance has got be up soon" (I couldn't find my card). I called my agent and they said "It's been expired for 2+ months." "What?! Why didn't you send a renewal?!" "Must've been an error". Then they sent me a new OUTRAGEOUS quote stating I'm an "uninsured" motorist without continuing coverage, so I pay the high risk premium. Round and round we go and finally I took all my polices with someone else, and my auto with Progressive for half the price. So you don't know what happened in his situation He's still an idiot for driving with pot in the car. :shit:

Seriously, if Ellis is playing this week, will diciplinary action be taken by the Jets or by the NFL for the Bills game? I would think so. This puts the Jets in a weak position against a team we need a win against. Another loss makes the playoff picture worse for the Jets, as well. Yeah, I've had some fun with this Ellis story, but I'm worried about these last few games.
According to Mangini's press conference today the Jets have taken internal disciplinary action and he will be playing Sunday. It sounds like a first time offense will not result in a suspension by the league.

Wonder if they were passing it around in the huddle on Sunday, they sure played like it. Not to accuse anyone, but sure seems there are other players who disappear games at a time. Wonder if this is his first offense? Failed drug tests go unreported, until they reach the suspension stage I do believe.
