I find this analysis of Jordan and Moore to be bad. Moore is a high motor guy who will not wow you with any one facet of his game. He is relentless, but also limited. Of the two I think he is currently the better run defender. I'm also not 100% sold on him as a linebacker at the next level. Jordan is a special athlete that is raw technique wise, but has all the tools to be great. He also needs to add 15 to 20 pounds to his frame to be an effective all around edge defender at the next level. There is no doubt about his speed and fluid movements in space though. He is the most intriguing prospect on the defensive side of the ball as far as flexibility goes. You could line him up any where but the interior of the line.
Star would certainly be amazing and I love him as a prospect but does he have the size to be a dominant force at nose tackle. Why take another 3-4 defensive end when clearly Wilkerson and Coples are our starters. Perhaps Rex has a better vision than I do but I don't see the point of having three 3-4 de and an undersized nose tackle. So if only star is available perhaps trading back is our best option. I also don't know much about Floyd, is he a dominant force at Nose tackle in the 3-4? If he or star is the next kris Jenkins you take him and don't look back, kris Jenkins changed the entire landscape of our defense. *** also I don't think Coples is an effective olb so don't say that. If we had two smaller olb who could beat tackles one on one consistently with quickness they wouldn't have to be great, our d-line would all demand double teams most of the time freeing up one on one battles with situational players at linebacker. *** with the release of pouha there is definitely a roster spot open for a Nose Tackle
Ok I'm a first time poster here....however been a ling time follower of the site and a life long JETS fan......if I absolutely had to choose I wud take star...he's prob the best prospect in this draft.....however I don't believe our need for him is that great and wud much prefer to trade back and aquire more picks
