I love shark week, but I wish they had more new content. Almost every one of these shows I've seen before.
They've been doing that for a while and its what soured me on the whole deal. The fucking mermaid, come on. It's SHARK WEEK.
FYI: aside from Discovery Channel's Shark Week, the Nat Geo Wild Channel has been running their own 'Sharkfest' schedule this week. And in other shark news, American Airlines announced they'll no longer accept shipments of shark fins that were illegally transported through the U.S. Originating in Costa Rica and destined for Hong Kong, the shipments were subject to stopovers on United States soil, in violation of the U.S. Endangered Species Act.
And two days of shark sightings on Long island temporarily closing beaches. The scariest part is that there was an identification of a bull shark just ten feet from the beach.
Where's @abyzmul been? Haven't seen him since I came back. I always like Nat Geo shows. Shark week and fish stuff was always a bore to me though.
Yeah, it started off good initially..... then became they silly hypothetical "could Michael Phelps swim faster than a shark?!" or "imagine if there was a giant sociopath murder shark?!" type stuff..... Nat Geo's shows were definitely better.
