Even when healthy, Ray was very one dimensional.A liability vs the run.
He had his off field issues too , with the speeding and possession arrest, (35 grams) and failed drug test pre draft.
It's all hypothetical at this point since Denver has not been shopping him , but he would be an improvement over what we currently have.

Yeah, as a pass rush specialist with a chance to improve his over all game. He'll be playing for a big payday too.
But the circumstances don't really look a like match for us right now. Martin and Bishop leave a lot to be desired, but Martin is okay as an edge guy. Maybe with a general improvement overall with the D they can get by another year on that side with the outside hope Mauldin/Donahue come on...Gotta try and get a guy when you can tho. Hopefully the opportunity presents itself by '19

Lawrence and Ziggy Ansah will be available again, can't see them getting franchise again and the draft is particularly deep so Mac has no excuses. The Guard position must be upgraded and the pass rush too. I think there will be a trade or two to aquire additional draft capital this season. ( Bridgewater & Powell come to mind).
Hopefully Darnold proves to be the real deal. If so , that coupled with Chris Johnson standing by the players could make the Jets alot more attractive to free agents next off season.
