Serious question...How can the Jets beat the Steelers week 2?

    Yeah fair enough. I guess saying I was worried about it was a bit much, it was more that people here were trying to ramp it up as a viable option and I don't like that idea.

    Play calling is obviously important but sometimes, IMO, people focus too much on trying to outsmart the defense through play calling instead of outplaying them through well executed, smart plays that are used at the appropriate times, making adjustments as you go to how the defense is reacting to certain plays. That was one of my biggest issues with Schotty.

    No doubt. With Schotty it sometimes felt like plays were being called in a vacuum. It was almost as though the opponent or the situation did not matter... he just dialed up a play and whatever happened happened... it was maddening at times.

    I really like the fact that under Sparano the Jets seem to be focused on making quicker decisions and wasting less time under center with motions and a billion different reads that overwhelm Sanchez. Sanchez seems to be excel when acting on instinct rather than being cerebral... he's not Peyton Manning... he's not even Chad Pennington... but he's a very good football player who can execute when not overloaded.
