Dude, you started a thread about pissed off fans who are dealing with a shitty product. You told a SOJ person to "eat a dick." For you, a fan is believing in smoke and mirrors and not being critical of shitty play. You'd rather shit on the fans on a chatboard than on the players who let those fans down. Why don't you try shutting the fuck up.
In case you've missed, I have been shitting on the product too. But I'm also not going to fucking cry about it and threaten to not watch it anymore. I am a fan, I will root for the Jets till the end. No matter how bad they are, I'll root for them. I will never threaten to stop being a fan, I will never threaten to not support the team.
Link? Or name names. I've seen folks trashing this team or foolishly calling for Sanchez to be benched, but not "I'm going to root for the Pats."
People are emotional, caught up in a loss NONE of us thought would happen (or most of us). I can't tell you how often during a Jets game I say "that"s it, I'm done" and yet don't move from the couch or change the channel. I'm pissed. I feel our playoff chances are over. I hate it. And I'll watch every game from here on out, and expect us to win every game, and get pissed after every loss. That's what being a Jets fan seems to be all about. PS- I'm feeling very SOJish!
Im a shitty fan ? We just lost a heartbreaker i think if im not upset theres something wrong. you dont know me so dont comment on what type of fan i am because me calling you a dickhead wouldnt be right because maybe your actually a nice women or man.
I came into this season with realistic expectations. An up and down season, marked by rookie mistakes at the QB and HC positions. What have we had? The people who are jumping off the bridge assumed because we beat a couple bad(at the time) teams, we were going to the Super Bowl. Front-runners and fairweathers go hand in hand.
I'll keep watching, but you can't fault anyone for not wanting to go through this shit week after week, year after year, decade after decade. It's like battered wife syndrome "One day it's gonna get better. I constantly get hurt over and over again, but it's gonna change and everything's going to be ok. I just gotta hang in there" then BAM a right cross to cave in half your face.
Fuck. I stand corrected. Although I still say that's a product of raw emotion, but the I need to find a new team totally knocked me off my soapbox. Carry on!
I've been a jet fan since the early 80s. I am pretty fed up right now. You run out of excuses to why why it will all be ok after a while.
On point IATA , Just because people are pissed about a tough loss means they arent fans ? These Positive fans are so fucking fake its not even funny. They think the more positive they stay after every loss people are gonna reward them with someshit. Pathetic.
What are you talking about? I never have/will stop watching. I was just saying that I am sure even some good fans won't feel like watching and I would not blame them. It is rough. 3 Things I hate: 1. Underachieving. 2. Talk without backing it up. 3. Losing games you should win. The Jets are doing all 3. It sucks.
People seem to enjoy the Jets being shit tbh. I know I do - I cant stand it when we do well as I get too stressed out - its very easy when we are shit then I can go back to just casually checking how we are getting on "ah, losing another close one I see, oh well" - its a low risk, low stress life being a jets fan, you know they are going to suck and they rarely let you down. Still, on the positive side, at least the Head Coach can finally (please God) just stfu and stop talking crap all the time time. Same goes for Scott and Rhodes - just beat someone - then you can start talking or twittering or whatever the fuck it is they do instead of plaing football.
The only one that I'll give you is #2. How in the hell can this team underachieve? We have a rookie quarterback and a defense without a nose tackle. No game in this league is easy. Hell, the Saints almost lost to the Rams today and the Broncos lost the Skins. No game is a must win.
