Honestly, I don't fully disagree with Champ skipping over the draft. It is very rare to get a gamebreaker out of the draft in the first season they play. Sure we can get a few solid players if we do well who some day will turn into something special, but the rookie year is a rookie year for a reason. As to his overlooking the schedule, we always know what 6 games are going to be (divisional rivals), we know before hand what 4 of the games will be (another division in the conference that gets rotated through every 4 seasons) and finally the NFC division that gets tacked on to the AFC east teams' schedules. That leaves two games open that are question marks. Considering all this, do I think we'll be going to the Super Bowl this year? I won't say definitely no, but if Champ is the house saying no, and we have to pony up and put money down to say yes, well, only a fool would put money down. Odds are you're not going to get paid up. All that being said, do I think Champ thought of all this before posting? No way in hell.
We know who and where all 16 opponents will be, but not when we play them. For that reason I think champ's pinpointing of us being eliminated on December 15 is just him being the windbag that he is. There is nothing else to base it on at this point.

This will be another NON SB appearing season for the NYJs which would make it 40 years since they last won SB3. Also the 09-10 look like unsuccessful seasons as well unless they hit grand slam HRs with each & every draft choice in the next 2 years

You best should reread my posts. I said I have set for recall on 12/15 so I do not miss the date that the NYJ exit from the SB derby. I'm being sort of liberal on this one since there will be only a few games after 12/15 so if happen that Sunday or the following Sunday I want to be prepared. All I said is I have it calendarized to return to me on 12/15 BTW if I am wrong & we do appear in the SB at the end of this season just think how much fun you & others will enjoy taking shots at me
I think the reason I come here and enjoy reading these kind of statements is that I can tell myself that no matter how dismal I feel after a Jets loss, how down I am after a 4-12 season, there's always somebody who's outlook is far bleaker and far more pessimistic. The Jets will never do anything as long as you're around to throw cold water on the hopes. Even if we had a really good team, you'd never admit we had a chance to do anything.

You mean you can't just pay attention as the season goes along like the rest of us, you have to set an alarm for yourself in March? How far gone are you anyway, champ?
