    Which 8 of those teams we play could we possibly lose to? Dallas, maybe. Patriots, maybe. The rest we will probably be favored to beat but we will lose 8 of them?

    Imo we would have to get swept by the entire division and lose to the Cowboys and another team to lose 8 games.

    I am still being cautiously optimistic. If we can put together a winning record after 8 games then I'll change my mind.

    Been a Jets fans too long, hate when we are favored, just seems wrong somehow. When all those folks pick us Monday night it was like a death call.

    I think they can definitely consider themselves a contender for the playoffs. Maybe they are even better. The D looks world-class. Lets see what happens against NE. Will reassess after that encounter.

    Bowles is much more zen than Rex. I think Rex did a better job when everyone was picking against them.

    It all comes down to the defense. If they continue to dominate, this team will win a lot of games. The 2009 team went 9-7, but gave away at least 4 games (Bills game with 5 ints, Atlanta, Jaguars, and Miami at home). If this team isn't turning the ball all over the place, they could win 11 games.

    If they beat the Eagles Sunday, I think the league will start to take notice.

    Most power rankings have the Jets in the top 10.....I think they've noticed. Beating an Eagles team which some have ranked in the bottom quarter of the league, won't make them notice any more.

    My prediction was 10-6, leaning more towards 11 wins than 9. I'm now going to say 11-5, leaning more towards 12 than 10.

    They'll split with the Bills and Patriots. I'll chalk up a 3rd loss to Dallas on Saturday night in Dallas, and a 4th loss to Oakland, since it's cross country and it's a game we should win but somehow won't. I'm having trouble seeing a 5th loss.....so maybe the Dolphins steal one.

    Texans

    I picked 7-9. One of the few times in my life the Jets have exceeded my expectations. Keep it up guys.

    The safe bet is 10/6 with us losing to the pats but I'm going with 11/5 now.. Sure hope Denver loses to the bungles!!
