He wasn't terrible at all.. He was good the first half and then played with no shoulder the second half... Compared to Sanchez this season, he was Montana in his prime.
People will argue he's a project that needed a full off season as opposed to pointing out that he was drafted far too high, is a turnstile, and by all indications has no football intelligence.
I will be following the Lions then the Niners then the Saints in that order for the playoffs and for the superbowl whomever represents the NFC (unless its the giants or the packers (unless they are playing the steelers or patriots)).
Wilkerson held his own. At times looked stellar and should develop into a very good defensive end. Kyle Wilson took some big strides this year. He faded down the stretch but he was solid for the most part in the slot and if he makes another jump like this next year the jets will have themselves a rising star. Revis, Harris, and mangold earning every penny we paid them.
One of your better posts around here. You've imporved alot since your break down of the Dline for sure. McKnight's return numbers are among the best in the league. Hopefully soneone figures out how to use his explosiveness on offense now. Revis was very good again. It should go without saying but give the man his props. He's the best cover corner in football. Pouha was a force in the middle and needs resigned badly. Mo Wilk had a very good rookie season and looks to only get better.
1. As much as people criticize Sanchez, he had a better year than last year in most categories. He definitely improved. Yeah he was inconsistent with accuracy and made errors, but there were plenty of times where he threw a great pass and it was dropped or bobbled and picked off. Next year the pressure will be heavy on Mark. That is a positive. I think he will step up big next year, if he has a good supporting cast. 2. Greene has shown he can be a go to guy, even when he's banged up. Schotty just doesn't use him right and the line has been weak. I have no doubts in my mind we would have won the giants game if used him later in the game. We've seen him tear it up near the goal line, but Schotty plays LT in the red zone most of the time. 3. Revis looked better than ever and there's no reason to think he's not the #1 CB in the league. There used to be some debate on that, but not any more. 4. We have some young guys on the D now in critical positions and they will only get better. Wilkerson, Ellis and Maybin come to mind. 5. Kerley is the future. This guy is going to be great next year. I see Mcknight improving a lot as well. It will be nice to have a training camp this year.
Not to mention our defense with its ability to get to the qb and make clutch stops when the team needed it. Like against the broncos.
Well then you apparently didn't watch the games that closely. The man had an excellent season as our #2 corner. Obviously he doesn't look as good compared to Revis, but he more than held his own and was happy considering I thought we overpaid for him.
