Isn't he another in the box safety? Jets need a safety who could actually cover somebody.

Okay I get that you're a darksider/Rex hater but dude are you high???

Out of Winters, Bohanan, Geno, Richardson, Milliner - if even 3 of them are servicable it's the best draft we‘ve had since '06. Idzik's philosophy WILL work, just not necessarily in 5 minutes.

Way too damn early to evaluate a draft class, but on the surface it's better already.

I was talking about his free agent signings, not his draft. I don't like his draft either but that is another story.

I think it might be a little early to pass judgement on his free agent signings.

None of them have even played a game yet. How can you say this?

Ivory will be a good back for us and Goodson can also be helpful if he gets himself together. Colon is going to start. Barnes should be a solid pass rusher. I just don't see where you can come to the conclusion that they have been busts without having played.

Well let's take a look as of now. He signed Garrard (disaster), Goodsen (soon to be a proven disaster), Peterman (disaster), Garay (cut). Barnes is no good but will probably be kept because of the Coples injury. Ivory jury out but I predict a bust giving his injury history. Other than Winslow and arguably Spadola pretty bad.

I missed Colon and I agree he could be an OK replacement. He is no world beater though.

You're an idiot. I don't care, you are.

The purpose of this method is from a cost effective standpoint. We were handcuffed this offseason In regards to free agency.

There's this thing called the cap. Are you aware of what our cap restrictions were this offseason?

So the philosophy is to bring in guys like Garrard, Goodson, Braylon, Garay, Barnes, Peterman, Colon, Cundiff, Carpenter, Winslow, Landry, etc because it is smart.

You see, he brings these guys in at a very affordable price in hopes that a few turn out to be something very beneficial for us. If you can find under the radar guys that can contribute at a low cost, then that is a huge steal for this team.

You bring in as many of these type of guys that you can because you anticipate that some of them just won't pan out because the odds are that a lot of them won't work out but you also have a great chance of landing a handful of guys this way at a very low cost.

    It's smart. It's beneficial.

These players that haven't worked out it something that was anticipated but the Jets were hopeful they would pan out, since they didn't work out it doesn't change a thing because there was not a ton of money invested in these guys.

    It's all about the upside.

    You, are a true clown.

I don't understand the crap Idzik is getting for free agency. Yes, some guys haven't worked out and others have been cut. That proves he isn't precious about his own signings and will do what's the best for the team!! None of them have had any significant financial impact.

Yeah, so aside from Garrard you can only pass judgement on the guys who were cut, and I wouldn't call either of them 'disasters'.

Ivory, Goodsen and Winslow will probably be the names people judge this FA class on, we'll see how that goes.

Like the use of the weasel word significant. This year the team had no money. So the busts not contributing is significant and a waste unless you view the season as a rebuild tank year. Which I do by the way. But all these guys defending Idzik also seem to think we are a 7-10 win team that could even make the playoffs. Fact of the matter is Idzik is an accountant/clerk. He does not know how to judge talent. Does not bode well for next year when we will have both draft choices and cap room.

Yeah for Idzik it's not like the players have played a game yet. On top of that, they were all low money which is all we had. It's not like we missed out on big FA because Idzik didn't want to spend money, we just didn't have money. He was working from a very tough standpoint because of Tanny. Next year is going to be a much better judge of Idzik going forward.

You don't have a clue. Go look at Idziks resume. Go read some of the things that his peers have said about his overall body of work and his talent evaluation skills.

To declare this guy is a joke of a GM already makes you look stupid. He doesn't even have a full season under his belt yet and your the only one I see pouncing around these threads acting like the entire FO is terrible.

I think your a troll. I don't believe your a true Jets fan and I think your the First person I'm going to call out when our season turns out way better then many are predicting.

I submit we should have hired a football talent guy not another Tanny in the hopes of getting somebody who could actually manage the cap. They could have brought you or me into cut all those guys. (Heck if they had kept Mr T, HE would have cut all those guys.) That was obvious. What was needed was somebody who could actually sniff out talent not use a dartboard and hope something sticks.

No I didn't. Even in a rebuild year the goal is to bring in guys who can actually play a lick and not merely take up space or be so bad that you have to cut them.
