My only knock on Caldwell is 1 year experience as Director of Player Personnel. It's not like he pulled the trigger on Matt Ryan selection, or made the move for Julio Jones (which i still don't think was a good move anyway). He would be my 3rd candidate, only due to the experience level compared to Dorsey and Gamble.

From the many reports about Pioli he sounds like a control freak nut. The two stories that stick out are the accusations by Todd Haley and others that they believe Pioli bugged their offices and Pioli suspending a low level employee without pay because she did not use "Mr." in front of his name when talking about him to another employee. Pioli seems 10 times worse than Mangini in terms of being a control freak nut that alienates the rest of the organization.
