There is no excuse for abandoning the run. Greene was really punishing the Giants...no clue why Schotty stopped the run. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Sanchez's QB rating drastically lower out of the shotgun? Schotty insists on the shotgun and it doesn't work for Sanchez. Keller needs to decide if he ever wants to be more than an average NFL TE. Holmes was mediocre and was lucky to not have a drop called a fumble. If the refs didn't keep hooking us up with calls (PI against Keller, Kerley being down by contact...etc), this game would have been over a lot sooner.

Harris is a beast and Revis is Revis, but NOONE else can hold their head up after this game.

End of the day, it's on the HC.

Youre crazy. This isnt the 70s. You arent going to win if your QB is throwing less than 15x a game.

true and what grabs me is that the #5 pick and promoted franchise player SHOULD be able to make all the plays.

we have seen the limitations and they appear to be growing, instead of disappearing with is a very troubling thing.

I would add that it might also be without Rex and Schotty and quite possibly Tannenbaum. It all depends on just how far this team will fall before the overhaul will be completed.

Rex is the HC so yes this is on him. The fucking guy isn't even in the conversations during offensive TO's for Christ sakes!

You're crazy. This isnt an elite QB, receiving corps or passing playbook. We are not going to win games if Sanchez has to throw more than 15x a game.

    1) Schotty must go.
    2) offensive line overhaul. (Moore, Slauson and Hunter gone).
    3) another running back
    4) trade Holmes, part ways with plax
    5) get Edwards back, Kerley is fine (hold onto the damn ball though)
    6) safety
    7) ilb depth olb depth
    8) trade cro, start wilson
    9) Rex gets a pass

THat is a major overhaul and not likely to be accomplished

We need a RT OLB safety & WR
    AND A NEW OC

2)Turning over 3/5 of the line is going to cause even more problems.
3/4)Trading Holmes and gettting rid of Plax makes no sense if Braylon is going to be our only pickup withKerley opposite him. Who is the slot receiver where Kerley has been making plays?
    8) Who covers the slot? There is no reason to trade Cro, just don't line him to return kicks, or as a WR.

It is hard to argue against the fact that Schotty lost this game by putting it in his QB's hands. He expected us to be able to take advantage of the Giants secondary and we weren't able to. For all of the back and forth about whether Schotty or Sanchez are the real weak link, isn't ironic that we lose this game because Schotty placed the game in Sanchez's hands.

THe passing plays that were called were not designed to exploit the weakest part of the team, the Giants downfield secondary. The plays called were flares and slants that, at best tested the strongest part of their team, the line & the LBs. The play calling was atrocious and Schotty is to blame

Did you watch the game at all?

Who did you want Sanchez to throw to?

An open receiver, I'm assuming would be your response.

NO ONE was getting open. The secondary that is prone to abuse... the Jets made look like a #1 pass defense. Santonio fumbling, Dustin and Plax dropping, the muffed snap... it has been a circus for the Jets. To make matters worse, NO ONE was or has been blocking.

Sanchez has many faults, many of which are being magnified due to the clusterfuck of issues within the team in general. But he is far from the only issue today and this season, and many of his issues would be removed if this team would help him out.

He's the Head Coach. He is ultimately responsible for everything. For instance, if Schotty Jr. is consistently failing to (a) tailor his plays to his players and (b) adjust his play-calling based on the situation, then Rex needs to step in. I know Rex is a defensive guy, but come on, if the fans can see it, Rex can see it.
