that's right - its such genius idea to not attack their ultimate weakness, but rather trick them by not going after what the Jets think they will go after... they zig, the Jets zag - its flawless logic. I don't think Ryan wants that type of gameplan.
I remember the seattle game and the announcer (steve tasker i think), saying how the jets receivers simply needed to run a route, stop in their tracks and with the snow, no way the CB's could stop on a dime , yet the jets receivers kept running timing/slant routes and the offense stalled miserably throughout the game. i thought tasker was right at the time and what it reminded me of was that schottenheimer/mangini failed to adjust the game plan. i can only assume it's shotty's fault for not adjust. i suppose you live and learn, but they clearly learned nothing that day.
It is better because the O-Line is a single unit and they developed a whole season's worth of chemistry together.
