The penalty was stupid and selfish. Hopefully he'll get reamed for it and it won't happen again. At that point, it didn't hurt them. Hopefully one of his celebrations won't hurt us in the future.

Why you would do that after fumbling (returned for a TD) and dropping a pass deep in Eagles territory (which led to a 14-0 lead), I have no idea. Also, after he scored the Jets were losing 28-10. Great time to be psyched. Again, just stupid and selfish.

The fumble directly lead to 7 points. The pick did not necessarily cost us 7 points unless you can see the future and see that we would have a scored a td on that drive. He gave the eagles 7 points, and cost us a CHANCE to score 7.

Im not supports Tone, I'm just saying its not like the pick was taken to the house or he let the ball slip through his hands in the endzone.

Sounds like everyone forgot that Braylon celebrated just as much. He would do the dougie after every TD.

    Sadly, true.

He's an infuriating player sometimes. He really is. Having that penalty in that spot...If Rex benched him for the rest of the half, I'd have had no issue with it.

holmes is a very good receiver who you can LIVE with as your #1 if your QB is great. is he a true #1? nope.

The thing that really drives me nuts about him is that after 20-odd games with the Jets he still obviously does not know the in's and out's of the offense. He's part of the collisions as often as Plaxico and Kerley are but they're both still learning the offense. Holmes should have it down by now. He should be the glue on the outside but he's obviously pretty clueless about how to excel in the system, let alone knowing where he is supposed to be on every play.

If the Jets keep Woody, Edwards and Cotchery and sign Plaxico we win 12 games this year. How they got so many calls wrong is the question.

And I'll admit I was very happy to hear they'd re-signed Holmes. I just figured he was a pro who would make his QB better instead of making him look worse on a regular basis.

How the fuck do you celebrate scoring a TD when your team is getting trounced?
The guy is a complete asshole.

Truly embarrassing. Same thing with the 1st down celebration when we are losing. He needs to act like the team is more important than whatever stats he is putting up.

He also had no regrets about the penalty. He blamed himself instead of Sanchez for dropping the pass that led to the INT, but still, come on.

He's becoming a really aggravating guy to root for. I've never been a fan of his exaggerated 1st down celebrations, but the TD celebration today was completely idiotic. I was happy when we re-signed him but it's starting to look like a questionable move. Too much ego, too little action.

He still has 7 touchdowns he just doesn't have any real WR across from him. Plax is really only good in the redzone.

I'm not saying the guy hasn't made some plays, but the way that he acts you would think he's the #1 receiver in the league. If he didn't have such an incredibly inflated ego he'd be a much more likeable player.

The difference is, is that we are down 28-10 at that point solely because of him. He gave them a 14 point swing. Pissed me the fuck off when I saw him pull his bullshit ealge mocking, meanwhile he should be the one being mocked.

Was the penalty for taunting or using the ball as a prop by standing on it? Why did he even need the ball to mock the Eagles? Was it supposed to signify a goddamn salmon or something? Really fucking dumb.
