That's all fine, but why have we been told, by the coach since pre season that this kid can take us to the super bowl? If he is a standard 2nd yr qb, then he has at least 3 years to go before he is a viable NFL qb. We were led to believe he was a prodigy and ready to take us to the promised land. So either that's true, or our coach is full of shit. I'm starting to believe the latter.

Dude, you really need to wake up.

If it hasn't been clear to you yet, Rex is very sincere and believes what he says. However, he is notorious for being a "pick me up" coach instead of a critical one.

Not everything he says is can be taken literally.

Plus at the onset of a season when asked how your team will do, what are you supposed to say "Well, I think we have a strong chance at 10-6, hopefully being enough for the Wild card". You will lose your players.

In order to play this game, you can have all the ability in the world (Dallas Cowboys) but if you don't have the mentality you won't do shit. It's Super Bowl or bust in the NFL.

And if half of those potential INTs weren't dropped you wouldn't have an argument at all...

^ What does Belidick say? What does Coughlin say? Does the extra talking accomplish anything? Let him pick up his players in the locker room or in practice, but save the bravado. All it has done is make them a laughingstock. Did the Falcon's coach come out and say the shit Ryan said? They seem to be having a good year. Is false bravado the only way to inspire players? Here's a newsflash - it ain't workin

Totally. We should cut him now. I mean, he's what 24? No way he can turn it around. He's done for. I wouldn't bother trying to put in a different offence or anything. Just get rid of Sanchez. He can't win the Super Bowl in his second year, which we all know is the year for a QB to win his Super Bowl.

Should Mr. E be in here telling someone to light themselves on fire?

I'm 24 years old..... Do I deserve to be a starting QB in the NFL?

    No...

    Neither does Mark

I see things differently. I see a 2nd year qb who is figuring out that he can't always rely on his team to win a game.

I see a 2nd year QB that is realizing that he won't always have his best stuff, and will have to evolve on the spot to get the win.

I see a 2nd year QB going through growing pains.

I have also see him lead the team to victories in the last moments of a game, coming from behind to win.

He has problems he needs to fix. This is common among young QB's... I imagine if there is any person that is willing to put in the time to do so, it is Sanchez.

I am reading the gloom and doom and it sounds like we are discussing a qb who has a losing record and is a visible bust.

I'm not a huge Mark Sanchez fan but these losses are not on him.

Holmes and Cotchery should have caught those passes and we would have won the game.

The real problem is this team has no depth at all. We are thin on the d-line, secondary, o-line. Now it's December and we're seeing some injuries and parts of our team are collapsing.

On offense our OL is just not playing like it did last year. period.

And when Woody went down it was a total collapse by the OL.

    just for giggles...

another QB to compare Sanchez numbers too...

52.7% completion percentage 25 TD's 29 INT's 4261 yards passing for a 6.67 ypa. With 4 4th quarter comebacks. Player ended up winning 2 rings (0 in first two years)

    Here's another comparison player

    53.3% completion percentage 11 TD's 21 INT's 3217 yards passing for a 6.4 ypa. With 2 4th quarter comebacks. This player won 3 rings (0 in first two years)

    A more recent example...

    64.5% 24 TD's 20 Int's 5006 yards passing, 8.8 ypa. 8 4th Quarter Comebacks. This player won 2 rings (1 in his first 2 years)

    Can you name them?

It's unreal the lengths people will go to defend Sanchez and his awfulness. Holmes drops a TD pass, fine that's 4 points, ignoring the fact that if this asshole never dropped back for a pass all game the Jets would've won, because the Dolphins only scored because of his poor ball control.

I got killed a couple of weeks ago for pointing out that aside from not turning the ball over(which is obviously a huge deal) that Sanchez was just as inefficient passing the ball as he was last season. Now the turnovers are back and the Jets are in a full fledged tail spin.

4 Points? How do you score 4 points as a wide reciever?
Or are you talking about the point diff?

The fuck? That's 6 and a one point deficit at that point in the game, a tie after Folk converts the kick. Who the fuck taught you math?

How dumb are you [guys] ? They got 3 points out of the drive and it would've been 7 if Holmes caught it. Jesus [expletive deleted] christ.

And we got a FG later in the game which would have made it a TIE game at the end of regulation.

With Folk, the 7th point is not a given.

You'd be hard pressed to find a worse QB performance in the history of the NFL than Nacho's performance today. He was a complete fucking cunt. And the worst part of it all is that you could see it on his face in the first quarter! He had his sad little puppy face on and he defeated himself before he even got going. Homo bag play today from our QB. Hopefully we wont see that again for a long long time
