Soxxx, the more that i think about this the more I would rather have a "healthy" Manning on this team instead of Mark. The last thing in the world is to hope/or see Manning go to the Dolphins. They have Marshall, Bush and a decent/good O line. A defense that is slowly improving and an offensive minded head coach. I will hate the day if he ends up there with the way the Jets are constructed today. Having to play Manning and Brady for the next few years would really suck. Mark has nothing but golden oppportunities on this team, to be taken 5th overall and considered a franchise changing Qb he has failed. People are going to say "he got us to back to back AFCCG's". Yes he did, and Dilfer won the superbowl several years ago also. We have good to great players on this team going into there prime years, I think that we need to upgrade the QB position, not saying that Manning is the answer but the Jets need to upgrade before its to late.....
Step 1. Get peyton manning Step 2. Trade peyton manning to the dolphins for their first round Step 3. Use the pass rusher you drafted with the dolphins pick to re-injure peyton manning's neck. Step 4. ??? Step 5. Superbowl victory!
Sorry but the defense carried the team for the most part those two years, look what happened this year....
Did you even watch those games? Sanchez carried the O on his back. If we hadn't given up 24 points in the first half or let him get destroyed on every passing play, we would have been in the SB. To say Sanchez sucked in those games makes me feel as if you suffer from some kind of mental retardation.
Think about Manning to the Jets this way: soxxx thinks its a good idea. The guy who thought a recorded press conference was live.
Bold prediction. But I like the general premise, the Jets aren't in as bad shape as it's being made out to be. The D will keep us in most games, if we can run the ball effectively, we'll make the playoffs.
