I would hope Woody trusts his guys to run things and I would hope they would resist the urge to allow an owenr to dictate who is playing and who isn't.
I think this is why Tebow is on your team to begin with. Signing Stanton was a "football" move made by the GM. Trading for Tebow a week later smacks of WJ giving Tannenbaum orders to "git er done".
You are naive! The owner is the guy who runs the show because he signs the checks. If he wants a dog and pony show, then that's what he gets, and I think Johnson wanted this dog and pony show.
I do but I don't think they get him if they don't think he can help them win. He can help us win w/ gadget plays but he's not winning for us as a regular QB. The owner wants to win, there isn't Tebowmania last year if the Broncos weren't winning but you can't win long term in this league w/ a QB like Tebow and I am sure Woody understands this. It's one thing for an owner to deman getting a player, it's another thing for an owner to demand a particular player plays. When he does this he movs in Jerry Jones/Dan Snyder territory which is a place no owner wants to go.
Has Sanchez made any televised comments about this or has he been in hiding this whole time? Not a good start Mark...man up and tell the world you welcome the challenge.
what challenge? Tebow is the clear #2 QB, Mark is supposed to come out and say he'll win the job that is already his?
I don't doubt that Rex and Sparano see value in Tebow as a utility player on offense. It's hard NOT to see that. That doesn't mean that Woody isn't going to knock on Tanny's door with a request (cough - order - cough) to see Tebow starting at QB when the start Tebow avalanche is going full speed ahead.
Hopefully that doesn't happen, I really believe Woody is smarter than that. If the team doesn't win nothing else matters and the best chance to win is w/ #6
Some of you are making my point. Here, read this...even Joe Montana, who is notoriously silent on all football matters, weighs in: Sanchez the better QB... The key is the off the field stuff. Can Sanchez "compartmentalize" this and keep his performance on the field ever moving forward and improving or will this distraction bring him down? That is the question. Mechanically, statistically...in fact, outside Tebow's rushing ability, he is no where near the "technical" QB Mark is. But, as anyone will tell you, a good chunk is mental....oh yeah. It's going to be interesting to watch!
