Winning cures everything. If Sanchez leads this team to a Super Bowl win, myself and everyone else who doubted him will eat copious amounts of e-crow, and gladly.
Hufnagel? He was stripped of his play calling duty [during the season] then was sent packing immediately after the season. Quite unlike the Jets.
Ok that video made me happy and sad..... Ugh we have the talent but we couldn't put it together. Sanchez was putting touch on the ball. Our run game actually did something.... Well cheers to the future.
Read what i said, 3rd "full" year as a starter. He played in one game one of those years. Seems pretty stupid to count one game as an entire year......
Still doesnt compare much to actually being on the field and playing. Its a whole different ball game then.
He still was terrible for a season. If he had that year for the Jets you would have all wanted him gone.
The only way Jets should even consider Manning is if he takes a 1 year deal. His neck and back are shot and he'll be 50/50 at best to make it through the season. Even then it probably isn't a good idea. Fire Shotty, get an OC that isn't dog shit, let Sanchez and Mcelroy battle it out in the preseason and let whoever wins know that the other guy will be ready to step in if he chokes.
This just has to stop, it is exhausting. There are 2 kinds of QBs that have shitty first 3 yrs in the league: those who become brees or Eli or those who just doesn't cut it. There are far more that just doesn't cut it than there are elis or brees. So let us assume that there is no way of telling which one Sanchez is from his first shitty 3 yrs (as some will have us believe) then there are still an overwhelming probability that he will never turn out to anything. Support him, he will still get his fourth year, minimum, but do not use his poor statistics as a proof of him turning out as brees.
a year ago in Eli's 7th season he threw 25 INTs and Sanchez in year 2 was better. THIS season where the media tells us Eli was elite(they wouldn't have made the playoffs if Victor Cruz didn't carry them the last 2 weeks) Eli had 29 TDs and 16 INTs, Sanchez had 26 & 18(and if you include his rush TDs Sanchez had 32 TDs, Eli 30). I'm tired of the Eli nonsense.
oh and congrats to Eli for passing mark on the career postseason TD pass list. It took Mark 6 games, yesterday was Eli's 8th.
Sanchez had zero confidence this season. Getting sacked like it was his job didn't help either. If you honestly think he just magically forgot how to throw a football accurately than you're ignorant. It's part personnel, the WR corps this season was junk without Edwards. I remember seeing so many passing plays where no one was open. This is part play design and part not having a receiver who can get separation (or maybe who actually tries). However, I still don't think Sanchez was being coached properly either. Coaching, play design, personnel, no confidence.
Giants O-line versus Jets O-line. Giants rushing attack versus Jets rushing attack. Victor Cruz versus Santonio Holmes. Hakeem Nicks versus Plaxico Burress. Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot. Giants OC versus Jets OC.
