Some of you fans are UNREAL. #1- He's a 22 year old kid starting his first year in the NFL. He did what he needed to do, and he stepped up when he had to in the 2nd half. #2- Keller ended the game well, but his hands have been questionable for weeks. As a coach, the balls hits your hands, it's not YOUR responsibility. Also, his lack of running through routes at times is getting annoying. #3- This game lies almost entirely on THREE plays. Uncharacteristic, but the Special Teams (kickoff coverage in particular) played like dog shit. Also, it's cool to see your kicker down at the 20 making a decleator, but if he's there, where's your safety? No, the kicker may not make a tackle, but he's taught to slow down the runner. Then Greene's fumble for a TD of course. Give the kid a fucking chance to develop. It's not like we're talking about a 3 year starter! He hasn't turned the ball over in 2 weeks now. Coincidentally, put his rushing TD's in his stats and he has 11 TD's vs. 10 Int's (5 of which were all from Buffalo, and that shouldn't land entirely on his shoulders). You want to be concerned about Sanchez, be concerned about his ball handling.
Exactly. I think some people will just never be on board with Sanchez, no matter how he plays. He's a 1st year guy that can score TDs. He gets the ball in the endzone. That's pretty impressive for a rookie. He has cold streaks but when you put him in the redzone good things very often happen. His butter fingers are the true 1 concern.
Thanks...I'm just getting tired of hearing ill-informed fans. Some of them sound like Giants fans after they played: Washington, Dallas, Tampa, Kansas City, and Oakland.
They had sanchez on a short leash in the 1st half, he played great with 265 yards and 3 TDs in total. Great game for any QB. He is having a better season than either Payton or Eli their rookie seasons.
I only saw from just after we went up 6-3, but Sanchez looked OK to me. Better than against Buffalo, last time I saw him play, by miles. Just from the stats it looks like he did better than last week also. The long Cotchery play was exactly the kind of thing that we should have in the playbook more often, simple passes with a good chance for YAC. The 4th down completion to Keller on the final drive was also good. He's got spirit.
Lets not forget he got ROCKED two times, and he still hung in the pocket when he had too. Those two shots he took were serious; the fact that he didn't become gun shy says a lot.
Sanchez had a good game, can't blame him for this loss. This one is on Rex Ryan. Calling for two point conversions twice and missing them prevented the Jets from being able to tie it with a field goal late in the game. It's sad when you do nearly everything right and lead in all the stats and still lose the game. Good effort, but talk is cheap and that's all the jets did this past week, including your coach! Like Ryan said, "We'll see who thoughest team is this week." Yes we did. Phins own the Jets '09. Go Dolphins!
Someone should stop listening to Phil Simms. Let's wait till the end of the year before we hand out accolades. Words out on the Wildcat. Shut down two weeks in a row. Don't count on Ginn returning kickoffs every week, let alone two.
The Dolphins are 3-0 in division games, and have beat the Jets three times straight now. Gotta love those numbers. Jason Taylor refused to play for the Jets when they tried to court him. It was great watching him run for six today against the Jets. Sweet game. The Jets will still talk trash, that's just their way. All talk. LOL Oh by the way. Ted Ginn Jr. got the game ball. Certainly deserved! SWEEP!
Keller makes some great catches but he is not as impressive as last year. He is not on the same page half the time.
He's had some bad drops too. I starting a Keller catch streak, which is now at 4. So he's on a roll right now!
I would say in the first half that schotty limited him a lot. The primary passing were quick out rights, specifically to keller and trying to hit slant routes. In the second half when they were behind and forced to pass he played great. The passing was predictable in the first half and not using the strengths the offense (edwards and cotchery).
His accuracy has not impressed me and he is going to have to get better in that area of his game. But as for his overall performance I think he is moving in the right direction.
Do you guys even watch the game. To blame Sanchez's previous problems on Keller is stupid. If you actually watch the game, you'll see that Sanchez has not been able to make a throw - especially to a wide open receiver for the last three weeks. He was horrible the first half of this game. He came back and had a solid second half with some help from great efforts by Edwards, Cotch and Keller. Hopefully, this sets the tone for a strong second half. If your going to be an apologist for Sanchez, fine but don't be surprised if your called out when you throw other players under the bus.
Great fucking post. He is missing important passes that kill drives. Yes he is a rookie, but he is a professional QB. He has to hit the wide open passes. Also, his pocket presence is a concern. Everyone on here loved his feet early on, and has regressed in that aspect each and every week. I was not a fan of drafting him, but eat my hat on the potential this kid has. He will be a franchize QB, and understand that this is his rookie year. However, that doesn't mean that people have to defend him. He is being paid alot of money, and should be able to take the negative fan comments as well as the positive comments. JMHO
Again all because you win, you aren't the toughest team, You got your asses kicked, 52 rushing yards against a team without their best run stopper. are you freaking kidding me. Be happy with your win but i don't get how you get tough when offensively and defensively you got your asses kicked.
