Well lets just clean out the lockers now and go home...great season but we can't win with our QB that is 3-1 in the playoffs. This article is trash.
All on the road. Doesn't count I guess, unless, like Tom Brady, you came into the playoffs and threw it all over the yard and were awesome right off the bat. Oh, wait... And before you Pats fans get all over me for comparing Sanchez to Brady, I am NOT at ALL saying Sanchez is even in Brady's hemisphere. I am simply saying if you read just this article, you would think that a) Sanchez has been awful in the playoffs, and has been for 10 years, b) Brady, Brees, Manning, etc. came in and were amazing in the playoffs right off the bat and c) just showing Brady wasn't, AND HIS TEAM STILL WON. Not saying Sanchez will ever BE Brady... he won't. There won't be another Brady as he is an all time great. Simply saying, the thesis of this article, that the Jets can't win because of Sanchez is bunk. If they don't win this week it MIGHT be because of Sanchez. It might also be because Tom Brady is freaking amazing. Sanchez could throw for 350 and 3 TD's and still lose to Brady... Brady wasn't Brady yet. Doesn't mean the Jets cannot win this week. The article is complete homerism crap, but, then again, we have Serby and the NY post, so... His first 4 playoff games as a starter, over two seasons, he was (and yes, I know he won a Super Bowl here. Not the point. Great post. Not to mention, Sanchez's 2009 season was his first year in the NFL, not his second like Brady's was in 2001. No one in their right mind would compare Sanchez and Brady, now or likely into the near future, but the kid is holding his own at this point in his career. And he should only get better with time. Oh, and wonder if Gerry Callahan was writing this story about Brady in 2001 when he went up against the Raiders/Steelers/Rams. Doubt it.
Wait, what? Aiden Binkley was the fairy tale, and the game on Sunday is the "real-life drama" [that Sanchez is just not ready for]? Are you serious? Really?
Insulting isn't it? I didn't even want to touch on that aspect of this article, but it really is sort of despicable that he included that story in this piece, and actually used it as the set up thru line.
This..... 3-1 on the road mind u...... that in itself separates him from the "luminous" QB's of the league..... i guess the author is part of the luminous journalists populating the USA. jil
Totally understand Boston newspaper/magazine slamming Sanchez really hard. Same way I wouldn't be surprised about NY newspaper/magazine slamming someone on Pats. Somehow, the article looks low class to spend so much time on Aiden & then lead into why they think Sanchez sucks. Just spend one or two sentences on what Mark does off the field & then slam his football skills; or, just write the whole article on why you think Sanchez sucks. This writer is such a prick. Even if you're a Pats fan that hates the Jets you should want to bitch slap this writer.
This Boston Globe writer, or whatever crappy newspaper he writes for, can lick my sweaty ball sack. Fuck him, and fuck Bill Belichick and the Patriots.
Fine, I'll say it. I hope this guy dies of cancer while choking on a bag of dicks. What a classless asshole.
