T O ia a douchebag with a big mouth...when he was carping about garcia coming off the field after a sf playoff loss the teams center told him shut his mouth or get his ass tied in a knot
If we're going by GPA, then no, but thanks for bringing it up. I also graduated whereas Mark left early. I excel at my job as a result of obtaining my degree. Mark sucks at his. Maybe he should've listened to Coach Carroll and remained in school? I don't make millions to suck at my job though, so I guess he wins...
cool. if i had a penny for every time i met a millionaire on the internet i'd have...nothing because the millionaires would have all the money.
Context. This isn't Madden where the OC holds a controller and controls what the QB does once the ball is snapped. Context This is about Mark Sanchez's lack of ability to read defenses, inability to read the field, inability to deliver the ball timely and in an accurate manner, and inability to read through the progressions down to the checkoffs on the reciever routes. Context it's about Sanchez's lack of ability to decide that throwing the ball away is better than throwing the ball in to triple coverage. Context The player is responsible for his play and decision making on the field.
Context. Gilyard,Gates,Reuland. Everything you listed are coaching poi ts. Sanchez, is still relatively Green. He's you're starter this year at 8 million. Every name being bandied about is ASTEP DOWN in terms of stats or talent. Context.
sanchez deserves most of the blame for his poor play sporano and tebow fiasco's didn't help him any though :-(
Really? Let's go through this. The Poster listed the following flaws in Mark's game: "Mark Sanchez's lack of ability to read defenses, inability to read the field, inability to deliver the ball timely and in an accurate manner, and inability to read through the progressions down to the checkoffs on the reciever routes". All of these weaknesses boil down to accuracy, decision making, and awareness. These are arguably the three most important qualities a good quarterback must master. Lets' try and articulate the absurdity of your main point: You are essentially claiming that Mark Sanchez's 1) Accuracy (or lack thereof), 2) Decision making, and 3) Awareness (or lack there of) are all solely determined (or, at least primarily determined) by how his coaches perform. Do you realize how pathetic and utterly idiotic this sounds? I couldn't make up an argument so bereft of common sense and personal accountability if I tried. False. He's not "relavtively Green" at all. He's started 62 regular season games and 6 playoff games. You are confusing the fact that he APPEARS "relatively green" with the notion that he actually is "relatively green". He plays with no confidence and makes horrible decisions, or, put another way, he plays "like a rookie". But sadly, he isn't a rookie. He's played for 4 full (just about) seasons. Please, Embrace reality . . . it's ok.
Marks decision making and fumbling is much more of the problem. When a QB's confidence goes he is done Mark has a very small window to get that back. Why I think MM and WCO can help. The WC is about timing and Rhythm Mark is a Rhythm QB. When hits a few passes everything about his game improves. I have no idea why his coaches never utilized this. MM turned Mcnabb and Vick into accurate passers. New flash neither of them are accurate passers. In fact has a QB ever looked bad in the Eagles offense under MM and AR? It is a small shot but Mark has a chance. There is no way the Jets are putting all their eggs in the Sanchez basket.
I don't know what your job is but I have a feeling it is not quite as difficult as being a professional QB in the NFL. There are only 32 people in the world who have such a job, and I would say (off-hand guess) really only about 20-25 who are servicable. Mark Sanchez MAY not be one of them. I don't mind people who objectively and constructively criticize him, I am one of those people. I was never a huge fan since the beginning. But do you realize how much talent you must possess to be even a scrub in the NFL? Do you realize how hard they have to work? Has anyone seen friday night lights? Watch that movie, and realize that is only in High School! Could you imagine what it takes to be a pro? I don't have the gall to question the character of even the lowest 3rd stringer in the NFL, because even getting there requires tremendous talent. Criticizing his play within the context of the game is fair however.
As I've said from the beginning... Mark Sanchez should count his lucky stars that he ended up on the Jets. Sure, he's been "mis-handled" to a degree...but what other team would give him so much leeway...as well as a generous contract extension? No matter who lines up under center next year, we need receivers. Badly. And I have a feeling that Sanchez ain't going anywhere.
Sanchez can not learn to be a leader or to have heart and have toughness, either you have them or you don't. Skills are tangible and can be learned. The warriors spirit is intangible.
I wasn't trying to compare myself to Sanchez, someone else forced the ridiculous comparison after I said Sanchez should sign up for lumosity.com to work out his mind. It was a light hearted joke referencing Sanchez's need to learn how to read defenses better. I want him to succeed too and think he can if he can given the right tools around him and right system. I'm not giving him extra credit just for being in the NFL though, he's got to improve.
The Jets were going nowhere this year with the assembled offensive talent. Hopefully throwing into triple coverage all year has given him insight into how tight a window he can throw into when we actually have a competitive team that will need throws into tight windows to actually win a SB. Hard to see us starting over with a QB with a better understanding of their own personal throwing window then Mark Sanchez.
Sanchez will win the starting job next season and will bring success to the JETS depending on the offseason offensive moves and the new OC who may or may not create plays that fit Sanchez well. Deal with it.
