Playaction = selling the run = scrambling for a TD on the goal-line. I know Sanchez has a horrible history of fumbling the football, for the record he's 9th on the season with 7. I am not happy with Sanchez's progression for his career but I do believe he has hit a stride and hopefully will continue to as the season (and postseason) progresses.
I agree with everything you say here. My only point was that there is no need for people to be gushing over him based on these past 3 weeks. Let's see how he plays vs a legitimate team (the Eagles) and then we can praise him. He should be getting a light pat on the back for his last 3 games not a dicksucking.
I'm denying reality by doing what? Showing that the defenses he played against are actually tougher than the opponent as a whole? That's the SOJF bullshit that I expect from this board nowadays. What a fucking joke.
No, these are the weeks to shove in the face of detractors because they have nothing to harp on and talk about cutting or trading a young QB who is clearly improving. I'm just having fun telling those bundles of sticks that he's doing well. Fuck the opponents he's played. Oh, and about legit teams, you must never watch Sanchez in January.
The truth comes out. Let's not be objective about his performance, but be as obnoxious as possible to get back at his detractors who only started harping on him for blowing in the Broncos and Pats game.
Yes his rushing TDs count. We can count his fumbles lost too. 26-17 is progress for him and ill take 180 yards and 4tds any game. 26 tds puts him easily in the top 10 qbs for that stat and his turnover ratio including the Fumbles is close to stafford, eli and ben if you include their fumbles. Yes his yardage sucks. Big deal. He has gotten much better.
and saying "cut, trade, bust, etc" I'm not even going to the extremes they are. I could, but I can't get that retarded. You want objective? He's a young, 3rd year QB who's growing. And since he's not an elite QB, he's going to grow like the other young QBs with a lot of potential - slowly. I have the patience to understand and accept his mistakes without getting impatient due to the 5th overall pick label that is overused. This has been his best year to date. And there is plenty of reason for optimism.
Great job today Sanchez. Nice work shutting up those asshole fans who booed you before the game. Keep working hard and let's see where this season goes. Next stop Philly!
But they have Aso, and Vick. Sanchez has to beat both. I expect him to play safety in absence of Leonhard. We lost the QB on defense, so the QB has to play both sides of the ball.
I can't harp on the fact enough, that even calling Mark a "3rd year QB" (as accuratAthan that is, obviously) undermines just how raw and inexperienced he still is......because when people hear "3rd year QB" they immediately want to compare him to other QB's 3rd season. Mark was so goddamn raw coming out of college, experience wise.....his third year in the league is much much more comparable to most guys rookie seasons. The list of QB's that have entered the NFL played at the level Mark is, prior to hitting 2,000 career pro/college passes, that didn't end up becoming elite, is pretty darn slim.
Ut'd be one thing of he spent a year or two absorbing the game on the sidelines, but to be thrown straight into the fire, while having to learn so much of this on the fly.....and show the progression he has? It's a huge indication of the kind of upside and potential he still maintains.....
I posted this in another forum: Sanchez TD-TO (Turnover margin) is 26-17, which is a +9. That's not bad for a 3rd year QB. Joe Flacco is at 16-15, Freeman is at 15-20, Rivers is 23-22. Big Ben is at 21-15. He's doing better than these QBs on TD-TO margin. Stafford is at 29-14, Eli is at 28-15, Matt Ryan is 25-15, and Cam Newton is at 28-18 (13TD rushing). Sanchez is closer to these numbers. I like the company he's in.
He's doing great. Steady improvement across the board and three winning seasons under his belt. He's a great kid who displays humility, works hard, supports his teammates, and doesn't back down from a challenge. There's a lot to improve upon but we should let him keep growing and support him.
Based on what we know nobody can try and argue against any of those points. Its been documented and proven thus far. He did get accused of rape once. And pictures with that chick in his ghetto apartment Love my QB. Broke a record yesterday
Sanchez is definitely playing better, but I don't think he's playing great by any means. To me, he is managing the game very well. You can take it as an insult if you want but he's doing a very good job at that. He's not turning the ball over and he's making the necessary plays. Kudos to him. The only thing I would worry about before praising him so much is that when the coaches let him throw the ball more and air it out he really struggled, so the coaching staff had to reel him back in and play more conservative. I just don't know if he can really carry a team when they're not playing good. It seems like you guys gotta be firing on all cylinders for him to play well (good Oline, good running game, good defense). I'm interested to see how the next 3 games go. I think that will tell me alot about Sanchez.
