When a 4th year quarterback in the same system he was drafted into can't get it together and play head and shoulders above the play of a rookie who is barely learning the playbook and has no chemistry with the receivers and has no developed cadence and can't read a pro defense...

Sorry, but that's horrible. I was willing to give Clemens a chance. I argued with people in the offseason that the rookie should sit and let Clemens try to prove himself. I wanted to see how he compared to Sanchez when you looked that their play in a side-by-side comparison in preseason. Kellen proved me wrong at every turn.

Clemens had his chance and he didn't have it in him.

So you are saying thank you for someone telling you to drop it? LOL.

Anyway, like he said, time to move on.

No. He actually gave objective input and actually attempted to understand what I had to say rather than blatantley attacking me like an uneducated slack-jawed hillbilly

If this isn't "objective input" than I don't know what to tell you.

I guess if I don't agree with your stance of Clemens then I am an "uneducated hillbilly"?

Fuck it, I tried to be nice about it.

I'm pretty sure that calling me a troll had nothing to do with the debate that was in progress, and showed a serious lack of class on your part. I say one thing about Sanchez not being as great as everyone thinks he is and everyboday is all up in arms. Is this how you welcome everyone to TGG?

A serious lack of class? LOL that is great stuff!

What do you want? A certificate of appreciation? A welcome aboard pack? You start by proposing that Clemens should be the starter and call everyone "haters" that don't agree. Come on man and grow some thicker skin. I am not out trying to win any good guy awards here. Your posts sounded like a troll and I said so. Who is saying Sanchez is great anyway?

Edit: BTW, I feel bad that you don't feel this is proper way to treat a new member. So I have created and "official" welcome for you in the proper forum. Please enjoy.

Again you misread what I had written. I said give him a chance. I didn't say he was clearly better than Sanchez. Do you know what "percieve perception" is? The Jets organization has built up Sanchez to a Golden Boy status and you continue to buy it. I say that he is overhyped and you turn it into I hate the guy. I say give Clemens a chance and you turn it into make him a permanent starter. You just spit out BS.

    No. What is it?

Just looking at the above posts. Maybe tgg should have a screening process.

"percieve perception" doesn't even come up with a Google result.

    edit:

But the first Google image that came up was this:

BS? You insinuate that Clemens should be given a chance to start, so what you are saying is Clemens has earned the chance to start being that this is week #10. Again, where the fuck did I say I buy Sanchez as the fucking "Golden Boy". He is a rookie, with limited experience, and he beat out a veteran who has had chances to win the job. Did I think perhaps Clemens should have been put in when Sanchez was struggling? Yes it crossed my mind and I said the same in the game threads weeks ago. But it is better now to let him struggle and learn then put in a guy who obviously the franchise has no confidence in. He is the future. Hype is the media, reality is his play and the answers are years away. Years that Clemens has already been afforded.

If that is BS then I don't know what the fuck to tell you. Keep repeating an argument that has been on this board for years now about Clemens.

I'm going to assume that you actually aren't being a total douche the way Hemi is so here is an example of percieve perception:

When you want sports news on the internet where do you go? Espn.go.com right? Why? Because they are the worldwide leader in sports. Who said they are the world-wide leader? They did. They make you believe what they want you to believe and thus by doing so they are now actually the worldwide leader in sports.
The Jets are attempting to do the same thing with Sanchez. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing, they are attempting give Sanchez the opportunnity for a self-fullfilling prophecy (ex: tell a kid he is smart and his grades will improve, tell a child he is stupid his grades will decrease.) More or less they are attempting to make Sanchez better through the "placebo effect."

I agree. It is bothersome that so many refuse to acknowledge that CLEMENS had no run game; hurt receivers and no O-line to contend with. Plus he only had very limited time with the first team. Yet so many havea need to berate the man. Too bad. I'd like to see him leave the Jets and go to a team that wants him. I hope he does well too! I wonder how well SANCHEZ would have done with that situation that Kellen had to deal with. He has a far superior team now and still his stats are not much better, if at all!

I get the perceive perception phrase. But Perception is Reality would have been the correct thing to say.

And the idea of benching sanchez to give Clemens a chance midseason when Sanchez has done nothing alarmingly wrong for a rookie QB is just annoying. the opinion should be kept to oneself because its so beaten to death its sad.

If I were you I'd move on. Clemens is no different from John Beck.

Really? I'm trying to inform someone and you have nothing better to do than to pick out the one spelling error that I made in an excessively long post? Do you mind if i ask you where you went to college?
