Watched the Eagles game at Washington. Nacho did play well statistically tonight. Lots of short completions, with nearly half of them being to his TE's. The thing is, as well as he played, is still doing the little things wrong or not well enough, to be anything more than a career back up. He still has the bad habit of eyeing receivers before throwing, still isn't /accurate ( his receivers make a lot of plays to cover his ass on bad throws ), has "Happy feet", and doesn't have the nerve to get deep into reading the progressions when he needs to. All the talk about Nacho being clutch will end now
Like I posted here several times recently, Sanchez is good for multiple turnovers every game. That's his brand.
That interception at the end was an AWFUL throw. When you have Mark throw 30+ passes it doesn't end well
Ehhhh. The INT was bad, but when evaluating Sanchez people always seem to ignore the fumbles. Sure the dude has 80 TDs to 79 INTs, how about his 50 fumbles?
He turned the ball over at midfield, so he's giving his team about a 15-20 yard cushion before the Redskins got into FG range to take the lead. That's tough to expect a defense to hold an offense with so little cushion.
Here's one of my favorite go-to excuses by Junc: It's not Sanchez's fault that he's had to play in Divisions with Dynasties his whole career.
Where did I say that? I just find it amusing that everyone who wanted Sanchez run out of town can only get enjoyment by Sanchez losing. Geno has the worst numbers of any QB this year, last year, the guy is just terrible, but the Geno fans quickly run to make fun of Sanchez, because they know their boy isn't doing anything substantial.
Yep. I've been harping on his fumbles for years. Sanchez actually fumbles at a historically high rate.
Care to find and cite posts to support the bolded? Cause from what I read most posters here have position that both Geno and Sanchez suck. In fact there are several threads devoted to who is the next Jets QB should be. We were right saying Sanchez is a backup QB. And now same people are saying that Geno is not a starter either.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure most of us view the Qb issue as completely unresolved right now. Moving on from Sanchez was part of the resolution. It's becoming clearer that Geno isn't the answer either. All of Sanchez's supporters are running out of excuses. The guy had a chance to come in and win the Division and prove all the naysayers wrong. But he's looking exactly like the inconsistent fish he was while here. And that's with a shitload of talent around him and an Offensive guru coaching him.
Sanchez putting up nice stats but as we know intelligent fans don't pay attention to fantasy statistics. Another L for the turnover machine. Commence dancin' fan boys.
What is interesting, is that Sanchez was playing great. Probably his best game this year considering the defense and ST wasn't helping him out. You saw why the Jets drafted him and why Eagles picked him up and why fans thought he would thrive in the PHI offense. Then he threw the pick at the worst possible time to throw one. Take a sack, or incompletion there and you punt it away and you go to OT most likely. That pick showed you why the Jets got frustrated with him and why the Eagles started Foles over him and why the Eagles are on the brink of missing the playoffs.
